Job Summary
F&G is seeking an Information Technology Director to be part of our Delivery and Transformation team in Enterprise Services. This leader will bring the agility vision to life through a customer-focused lens by enabling, leading and demonstrate Agile excellence across the organization. This position fulfills a key role in influencing “new ways of working” within IT and partnership with business areas. Through strategic partnership with IT, business and transformation leadership teams, this leader will champion the agile mindset, concepts, training, coaching and value aligned outcomes. Responsible for Scrum Master and Agile coaching roles, and leading a center of excellence offering Agile coaching and support.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Own and oversee the agility roadmap and deliverables, including but not limited to strategy, communication, training, cultural readiness, organizational design, adoption, and leadership alignment.
- Responsible for managing and leading Scrum Master and Agile Coaching team members, managed resources and strategic vendor partnerships.
- Conduct organizational agile health assessments and leverage data-driven metrics to identify areas of improvement
- Deliver strategic Agile concepts solutions to large, high priority, and/or highly complex initiatives to improve the probability of success, risk management and value realization.
- Provide formal leadership and coaching to peer IT and business leaders by engaging with high-touch collaboration and mentoring.
- Apply and champion Agile concepts and methodologies to elevate Scrum/Kanban and/or general team(s) ability to continuously deliver, increase velocity and reduce delivery risk.
- Serve in an advisory capacity to senior business/IT leaders – Consult with leaders and team members to identify and remove issues impacting Agile effectiveness from culture, team and/or role execution
- Drive Agile concepts and mindset among teams/team members to ensure alignment and effective utilization.
- Develop and maintain trusted and highly effective working relationships with key leaders across the organization. Provide consulting and coaching to help increase organizational agility capability and capacity. Educate and enable business, IT and team leaders in deploying Agile principles and best practices.
- Own efforts to educate business leaders and partners on Agile discipline and increase overall organizational capability for agility.
- Drive continuous improvement to enable higher performing teams with improved business outcomes.
- Support efforts to define, embrace, and celebrate our organizational culture. Collaborate with leadership to identify opportunities, facilitate conversations, and drive execution of solutions that improve cultural health.
Experience and Education Requirements
- B.S. or B.A. required; advanced degree preferred.
- 8+ years direct experience in Agile adoption and/or transformation with various sized organizations.
- 3+ years experience in managing cross-functional teams and peer leadership.
- Certifications within Agile profession (CSM and/or CSPO) preferred
- Experience within information technology integrations, development processes, CI/CD and integration architectures.
- Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence) knowledge a plus
- Business Process Engineering, Six Sigma or Lean a plus
- Knowledge of Financial Services industry a plus

- Deep knowledge and demonstrated application of Agile principles, practices, methodologies and tools.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well with a variety of different individuals including executive leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and independently deliver on high complexity assignments.
- Exceptional presentation, facilitation, written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to develop compelling messaging for diverse audiences.
- Able to work collaboratively in a team environment, with proven ability to build strong relationships and deliver effective consulting and coaching.
- Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and coaching to motivate and retain team members.
- High degree of integrity and ability to handle confidential matters and sensitive situations with discretion.
- Ability to successfully navigate within varying degrees of ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills with high level of attention to detail.
- Proficient with business productivity tools (e.g. MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and SharePoint).
- Demonstrated experiences with advancing Agile concepts within an organization.
