The Data Science and Analytics (DS&A) team at http://realtor.com sits at the heart of this mission. We process and analyze terabytes of data daily, enabling decisions for millions of home buyers, sellers, renters, dreamers, and real estate professionals. Our goal is to use this data to make the home buying experience a breeze for our consumers. We empower them with the most up-to-date information on properties, help them find their dream homes in the least amount of time, and match them with the most suitable realtor to meet their unique, individual needs.
The Role: As Realtor.com is a two-sided platform helping match the consumers on our site and apps to our paying customers. This role will be focused on continued development of both our Consumer and Customer focused analytic datamarts along with metric definitions and executive reporting. This is a key role leading a foundational team within DS&A at http://realtor.com which allows DS&A and http://realtor.com to unlock the value of data with consistency and speed.
What will you do?
- Lead the Analytic Datamarts, Metrics, and Reporting team
- Hands on player/coach role leading a team of six analysts managing their work in a sprint format.
- Develop the strategy and operational frameworks for creating and maintaining analytical data layers to support the broader business to enable a full understanding of their customer base. Build frameworks for data quality and governance to ensure that quality data is flowing into the ecosystem.
- Develop roadmaps for enhancing existing revenue-focused metrics as well as developing new customer-focused metrics (e.g., Customer Lifetime Value). Build operational frameworks to develop metrics, track them, and alert for discrepancies.
- Build enterprise reporting capability focused on delivering customer insights to executive levels.
- Be a champion to understand the source tables and manage the code base to meet our internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices (such as the SQL Style Guide) for a high-scale database environment.
- Reporting on competitive data and continued evaluation of new sources to better inform the competitive landscape in PropTech.
What will you bring?
- Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related / quantitative field, or equivalent experienceÂ
- 10+ years of professional experience in analytics, 5+ years experience managing people. Preferred having experience building a team from the ground up as well as managing vendor relationships.
- Experience building and managing analytic data layers. Knowledge of ETL processes, data environments, data governance principles, etc. Knowledge of DBT, Airflow, and Snowflake preferred.
- SQL fluency is a must with preferred experience using scripting languages like Python or R as well.Â
- Experience leveraging Data API's to ingest third party data.
- Experience in managing metrics that are monitored at the C-Suite level.Â
- Preferred experience in leading reporting/data visualization capabilities. Understanding of infrastructure, monitoring, and alerting necessary to support highly visible and business-critical reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to develop a roadmap for complex technical initiatives and effectively communicate progress against that roadmap.

We tailor our offers based on the selected candidate's experience, industry knowledge, technical and communication skills, location and other factors that may prove relevant during the interview process. All ranges are location based, ranges for positions in other locations may vary based on the local market.
Salary Range for select office locations
Santa Clara $224,700 to $325,700
Westlake Village $183,700 to $266,700
New York $204,400 to $296,400
Pay-for-performance is a key element in our strategy to attract, engage, and motivate talented people to do their best work.
