ROLE SUMMARY:
Healthmine Services Inc. is looking to add a Director Healthcare Analytics and Insights, to their team. This Director will collaborate with multiple areas such as Product, Client Services, and Growth to oversee analytic services for internal and external stakeholders. This is an integral role within the organization as the individual will establish data reporting strategy, establishing reporting processes, evaluating reporting tools, and managing and prioritizing business requests.
This role will be instrumental in defining the new industry that bridges the gap between traditional wellness and population health analytics. With such an exciting and emerging industry at hand, the Director of Healthcare Analytics and Insights must be passionately curious, empathetic of its user base, decisive when opportunity strikes, and energetic enough to execute rapidly ahead of the competition.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Experienced in mentoring analysts to provide guidance and insight on data and complex business problems
- Expericence leading complex analytics projects
- Ability to communicate effectively to, influence and collaborate with all levels of the organization, both by formal and informal communications and presentations
- Experience with a variety of quality measures such as NCQA HEDIS measures, Medicare Advantage Stars measures, and state specific Medicaid measures
- Review policy changes to quality metrics and document how changes impact clients and Healthmine
- Analyze variety of data types to identify user trends to write user stories, functional specifications, and business rules
- Researches, analyzes, and responds to client/internal data inquiries
- Verifies data for accuracy and completeness
- Prioritize reporting requests from internal and external stakeholders
- Document, update, implement and maintain processes and procedures
- Serve as a liaison between internal stakeholders and end-users of the platform/products
- Manage competing resources and priorities
WHAT YOU NEED:
- BA/BS degree within or related to engineering, product design, computer science, public health or relevant experience in those fields; Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of experience analyzing complex/varietal data sets to generate insights, program requirements, and program enhancements
- Healthcare experience, preferably with a health plan/payer, wellness, or population health analytics background
- Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience with standard business analysis concepts
- Experience with NCQA appraisal/certification preferred
- Must be highly organized, detail oriented, and have excellent time management and communication skills
- Ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions
- A history of leading or supporting successful projects
- Team attitude – working well with others in and across the organization to accomplish goals
- Experience creating detailed reports and/or giving presentations
- Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
