Accountabilities:

  • Oversee information security teams and external security partners, including MSSP, MDDR, and EDR service providers, while driving operational excellence and service maturity.
  • Provide security architecture guidance and subject matter expertise across enterprise IT initiatives, with a strong emphasis on application security and secure development practices.
  • Develop and implement enterprise-wide information security standards, policies, and controls related to data protection, network security, application security, and regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct threat analysis, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and remediation planning to proactively identify and reduce security risks.
  • Lead security incident response activities, coordinate remediation efforts, and serve as a key escalation point during critical cybersecurity events.
  • Research emerging threats, technologies, and industry best practices to continuously improve the organization’s security posture and resilience.
  • Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams to align security initiatives with operational and strategic objectives.
  • Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or equivalent professional experience.
    • 22+ years of experience across multiple areas of Information Technology, including at least 12 years focused specifically on Information Security.
    • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience managing security teams and operational cybersecurity functions.
    • CISSP certification strongly preferred; additional certifications such as SANS or CISA are highly valued.
    • Strong expertise in SOC operations, incident response leadership, intrusion detection, firewall monitoring, endpoint security, and threat analysis.
    • Hands-on experience with penetration testing, vulnerability management, OWASP methodologies, and secure application development practices.
    • Deep understanding of security frameworks, encryption technologies, access control systems, network security, operating systems, and regulatory compliance requirements including PCI DSS and privacy laws.
    • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to executive leadership, technical teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
    • Proven leadership, strategic thinking, problem-solving, and team collaboration skills within fast-paced and matrixed environments.
    • Availability to support on-call responsibilities for a continuous SOC operation environment when necessary.
    • Benefits:

      • Competitive compensation package with salary ranging from $107,344 to $300,603 USD depending on location, experience, and qualifications.
      • Flexible remote work opportunities across the United States for eligible positions.
      • Comprehensive healthcare coverage including medical, dental, vision, life, and pet insurance.
      • 401(k) retirement savings plan with company matching contributions.
      • Paid time off including vacation days, sick leave, company holidays, and volunteer hours.
      • Performance-based bonus opportunities and additional incentive programs.
      • Professional development support, education assistance, and career advancement opportunities.
