Lalamove’s Business Intelligence, Platform Growth & Operations team sits at the heart of the platform. The team produces quantitative insights that enable Lalamove to develop incisive, real-time products and strategies that yield an efficient and competitive platform.

As part of the core management team in Lalamove’s functional departments based in Hong Kong, the Director BI & Platform Growth will lead Lalamove's business intelligence function, covering major verticals of Data Analytics, Business Intelligence Engineering, Growth & Operations. 

The Director will act as an advisor to our leaders to help them drive higher levels of engagement with our members and grow market share using data as a strategic asset.

What you will do:

• Business Intelligence & Data Analysis: You will lead a team of data analysts, business intelligence engineers, and growth operations analysts in developing dashboards and topical in-depth analysis to drive business insights from a high-volume database
• Platform Growth and Pricing: Monitoring all aspects of our platform performances, from the quote-to-order-completion funnel and real-time demand and supply indices, derives both day-to-day tactics and long-term strategy to boost our overall order volume and transaction value
• Supply and Demand Growth: Retaining and increasing drivers' productivity and increasing users' order frequency and volume, making use of different campaigns (mission/promotion/coupons, etc)
• Work closely with all functions and business units in 40+ locations across SE Asia, North Asia, Latin America and beyond
• Monitor the health of the business daily and trigger troubleshooting processes as issues arise

What we seek:

• Undergraduate Degree and/or Postgraduate Degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Economics, or other relevant fields
• A self-starter with a hands-on mentality and a passion for data and analytics
• Proven ability to lead high-performing analytics and data teams, deliver actionable insights, and apply strong judgment to prioritization
• Ability to deal with conflicting priorities, make decisions in stressful situations, and ongoing pressure from stakeholders while maintaining a healthy team culture and work-life balance
• Knowledge of querying skills (SQL), experience with very large datasets, and advanced skills with analysis software such as Excel or equivalent
• Excellent at visualizing data and extracting key insights that drive business
• Intellectually curious and eager to recognize patterns in data from various sources
• Draws from a deep group- or department-level business understanding to make decisions. Sees how analysis supports the end user’s ability to achieve business goals
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Fluency in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese
