Role and Responsibilities

This role will be responsible for the overall digital and analytics platform that is pivotal to Samsung Omnichannel success in the US. It provides product thought leadership as well as ensure deliverable/operation success. The ideal candidate should have demonstrated product leadership success in developing business critical digital solutions and insightful analytics experience in translating data into actionable insights. This role is required to be detail oriented, action bias, and creative in solving business problem with right solution. The scope SYNC as a platform to centralize all Samsung SKU launch cross digital channels, Omnichannel analytics for Samsung digital business reporting, Clavis based business performance analysis, and User rating/review management both on Samsung.com and Omnichannel. As we march our success along this digital journey, the scope can increase and evolve.

In this senior leadership role, he or she will provide product thought leadership for business critical digital capabilities, build strong and successful partnership both internally and externally, deliver industry leading solution, and build a strong team with ownership/accountability. The candidate is expected to apply solid computer science knowledge to solve some hard technical problem. This role is also expected to take a data driven approach in defining/measuring platform/operation success. The successful candidate should have demonstrated experience in working with teams cross organization and boundary with one team spirit.

Additional qualifications should include:

  • Accountable for the digital platform and Omnichannel analytics success, from strategic design all the way to framework development and daily operations
  • Provide product and technical direction within the organization
  • Hands-on experience defining digital capability and providing business insightful analytics at scale
  • Build strong partnership with business teams with aligned requirement, roadmap, launch plan and ensure ultimate digital launch success
  • Define and champion engineering best practice
  • Work with other infrastructure teams to ensure platform stability and meet Samsung security requirement
  • Technical liaison with technology vendors and integration partners
  • Customer focused and process driven
  • "Can do" attitude, and Ability to think out of the box and rapidly prototype and deliver innovative solutions.
  • Successfully communicate product roadmap, business plan, impact/result cross organization including with senior leadership

Skills and Qualifications

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide product thought leadership and drive/define product strategy/direction and roadmap that aligns and supports business success with measurable impact
  • Design for now and future success
  • Industry insightful experience with digital capabilities and business analytics
  • Build a strong team and lead team in designing and implementing business critical digital capabilities and analytics with solid operation success
  • Establish strong best practice and ensure compliance/security success
  • Provide guidance and support to team on process management, engineering discipline, and define clear R&R for ownership/accountability
  • Following a data driven approach in defining and measuring platform/operation success
  • Production support and operation planning/hardening

Skills Required:

  • 10+ years' experience in delivering high available and high scalable digital capabilities and business analytics success
  • 5-8 years of demonstrated success in digital or analytics space at leadership level
  • 5-8 years experience in leading product or analytics strategy, roadmap, prioritization in sales, marketing, ecommerce, digital spaces
  • Demonstrated success in building partnership both internally and externally
  • Demonstrated success in communication cross organization and with Sr leadership forum
  • Industry expertise of database structures, theories, principles, and practices.
  • 5+ years experience in leading team, hiring top notch candidates, grow talent and manage team performance
  • Demonstrated hands-on success with "can do" attitude
  • B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or Engineering

Base salary compensation for this role is expected to be between $250,000. and $300,000. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role. This role is also eligible for a semi-annual bonus based upon company, division, and individual performance.
