The position is responsible for components of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program with a focus on business continuity and records retention. Partner with the businesses and shared services to ensure that risks are identified and considered in the development of the strategic vision, and proactively managed to balance both the risk and rewards.

Facilitate and lead the organization's conversations and planning on business continuity and incident response. Work through complicated and sometimes conflicting definitions from various regulatory bodies relating to records retention policies.

What you do

  • Lead business continuity enterprise level program including policies, plans to support, and thought leadership. Continue to mature current structure/existing structure.
  • Participate in enterprise incident response including participation in CIRT (Cyber Incident Response Team) for cyber incidents.
  • Information governance maturity and evolution: monitor industry best practices and become a thought leader to aid in the management of information governance program and strategy.
  • Lead records management enterprise program including policies, plans to support, and thought leadership. Mature records management and develop new strategy to keep pace with industry best practices and changing regulations.
  • Help associates at all levels in the enterprise ensure that business continuity and records retention mindset is embedded at an operational level and that staff at all levels are aware of their responsibilities.
  • Establish and maintain a close working relationship with key stakeholders (both internal and external).
  • Assist business areas to help ensure that business continuity and records retention is considered in new projects.

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • 3-7 years of experience in either records retention management OR business continuity required
  • 7-10 years of overall experience required
  • Previous experience with incident response desired
  • Previous insurance or financial services industry experience desired
