This critical position on the Mechanical Systems and Components (MS&C) Directed Energy Systems (DES) Breakthrough Initiative (BTI) leadership team will report to the Sr. Offering Management Director, Directed Energy Systems, and be matrixed to the CBT VP. Your role will be to lead Directed Energy account pursuits and acquire new business, including RDE RevCOGS, prototypes, and adjacencies. Your success will hinge on establishing and nurturing strong relationships with key directed energy OEMs and primes like Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, Kord, Blue Halo, Radiance, and important entities such as the Army Space and Missile Defense Command (SMDC), Army Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office (RCCTO), Navy, and/or Air Force.
Specific responsibilities include:
• Establish and nurture strong relationships with customers, key OEMs, and primes.
• Act as the main point of contact for stakeholders, facilitating technical interfaces and business interactions.
• Gather customer intelligence, CTQs, and VOC to create effective pursuit strategies.
• Translate customer requirements into clear inputs for product plans and align them with GBE product and business strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including GBE Business Development Directors, Engineering, and CBT functions to implement capture strategies.
• Drive pursuit plans, ensuring alignment with long-term customer and product roadmaps.
• Support the Sr. Director Government Relations in developing strategies for securing multi-year congressional ad programs.
• Secure buy-in from customers such as the Air Force, Navy, and Army for prototype funding in the US budget.
• Support GR leader to lobby US Congress and their staff to gain support for funding initiatives.
• Collaborate with counterparts in other business segments to identify cross-business or adjacency opportunities and best practices.
• Support the continuous improvement of the pursuit process to drive revenue growth and margin expansion.
• Utilize your strategic thinking skills to develop and execute growth plans for new products and market applications.
• Lead by example, demonstrating strong leadership and negotiation skills.

Location / Travel:
This position locates in Huntsville, AL and requires ~25% time travel
YOU MUST HAVE
• Bachelor's Degree
• Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status
• 10 years of sales and marketing experience with at least 5 years in highly technical products
WE VALUE
• Thorough understanding of, and experience with the D&S OEM pursuit process
• Experience with the Defense budgetary process, from Congress through to funded programs.
• MBA, Six Sigma Greenbelt certification, PMI experience/certification, and SMP training are valued.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and foster strong customer relationships
• Strong Pursuit and Proposal experience
• Experience in developing and executing strategy and growth plans for new products and new market applications
• Breadth of experience across multiple programs, products and customers
• Strong systems technical, product and program knowledge and experience Directed Energy sector
• Demonstrated ability to achieve results through influence in a cross functional, matrixed, team environment
• Executive level communication skills and experience
• Background in interfacing with D&S customers
• Strategic thinking with the ability to develop, implement and document pursuit strategies
• Strong leadership and negotiation skills
