Summary and Scope

The Director of Business Development will be responsible for helping drive Rise Interactive forward in this proactive and highly consultative sales role.  You will help lead the important endeavor of increasing revenue, identifying and developing new business and building and expanding the presence of the company.  

As Director of Business Development, you will be a member of a growing, high performance team and will be a champion of Rise’s core values and report directly to the VP, Business Development. You will also be supported by substantial marketing efforts and deal leads allowing you to amplify your efforts and maximize your contribution to the organization.

Your individual contributions will develop, coordinate and implement plans designed to increase and capture new opportunities for the agency. The Director of Business Development is involved in collaboration with marketing and operations and other agency leadership setting objectives and identifying methods to reach those goals of your growth plans.

Responsibilities

  • Relationship management –  Excellent relationship development and management skills to build both new client  relationships and collaboration with colleagues and partners
  • Strategic planning – Develop and enact growth strategies aligned with a high-level view of company goals and objectives to drive business growth.
  • Hunting – Lead all forms of outbound efforts, collaborate with inside sales attend industry events  collaborate with marketing to publish compelling content and thought leadership
  • Team coordination – Build and lead effective cross-functional teams
  • Communication skills – Written and verbal communication are both vital to prepare opportunity briefs and present ideas to executives to enhance business performance.

Skills

  • Experience: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University and/or compelling proven experience with the ability to understand customer needs and client pain points
  • Reputation: Proven and relevant agency, new business experience as well as a track record of meeting and exceeding revenue development goals 
  • Market understanding: Category leading digital and performance marketing, strategy and tactical solutions,  technology ecosystems as well as competitive landscape.
  • Trusted Advisor: You are a strategic advisor to clients and collaborator pitching and closing six to seven figure contracts
