Director, Business Development and Sales - Intelligence Community (IC)

What You’ll DoÂOur government division is seeking a Director, Business Development for the IC to lead the identification, qualification and pursuit of new business opportunities within the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) and related markets. You must demonstrate a deep understanding of the NRO and partner agencies including organizational structure, mission priorities and procurement and acquisition methodologies and tendencies, and competitive landscape both from a Prime and subcontractor perspective. You will leverage this knowledge to develop customer and partner qualified leads, engagement plans, and provide thought leadership in the marketplace leading to the development and execution of Slingshot intelligence community (IC) go-to-market account plans.
As the Director of Business Development - Intelligence Committee, you will report to the Vice President of Government Business Development and Sales.Â
RequirementsÂ- Active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph
- Previous experience working within the U.S. Government Intelligence community and the respective Acquisition organizations is a must
- Proven track record of identifying and closing on new business opportunities in relevant IC agencies
- Working knowledge of US Government contracting, contract types and procurement processes
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work/military experience.
- 7+ years of related marketing and business development experience.
- Demonstrable knowledge of the Intelligence Community with direct client management experience of the NRO.
- Strong customer and industry contacts within the intelligence community to drive the sales funnel and support business growthÂ
- Proven organization, budget, acquisition, and operational experience in the IC.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate NRO / IC mission needs and requirements into business opportunities
- Proven leadership and management skills and demonstrated ability to build relationships within the Intelligence Community, work as part of a highly dynamic team and lead through influence at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the ongoing changes in the Defense/IC space mission and organizational environment and familiarity with the roles and organization of the IC space domain awareness and related mission areas.
- Working knowledge of the Shipley capture and proposal process or similar business development/capture methodology.Â
