Precision for Medicine has built one of the world’s most extensive biobanks and sample collection networks, capable of meeting the stringent needs of any disease research program and we are hiring a Director, Business Development to drive our Biospecimen Solutions sales. The Director is responsible for identifying, engaging, developing, and closing significant business opportunities for Precision Biospecimen Solutions in the assigned area of responsibility and/or region.
About You
- You are an experienced sales person in the diagnostic and R&D space
- You have a track record of building relationships with targets and leveraging these relationships to generate new business opportunities
- You enjoy prospecting, solution development, writing proposals, and consulting with experts
- You understand how to develop project budgets and pricing
About the Role
- Engage diagnostic and R&D clients – either individually or in group presentations – to create and cultivate new relationships that lead to additional revenue opportunities
- Promote the companies products and services through involvement in lead generation activities (e.g., conferences, trade shows, webinars, etc.)
- Actively manage the client sales cycle including prospecting, stakeholder meetings, proposal development, budget development, and pricing development
- Collaborate with the CROs different service lines to coordinate and advance cross-selling opportunities
- Maintain contacts and opportunities using Salesforce
- Travel up to 20%
Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences or related field
- 1-2 years of sales experience in Life Science or Healthcare industry OR
- 3+years of Laboratory Research, Service, Clinical Operations, or customer support in Life Science industry
- Past experience carrying a quota with successful attainment of objectives
Helpful Experience:
- MBA/MS in business and/or marketing, or similar
- Academic background in the life sciences
- Prior experience selling Human PBMCs (peripheral blood mononuclear cells)
- Familiarity with Salesforce
