This is a senior, high-impact individual contributor role focused on driving new strategic growth opportunities in the evolving energy and electrification ecosystem. You will play a key role in identifying, evaluating, and developing “zero-to-one” partnerships across electric vehicles and residential battery storage markets. The position requires a strong blend of strategic thinking, commercial execution, and technical understanding of distributed energy systems. You will engage directly with senior external stakeholders to shape innovative partnership models that enable large-scale residential energy optimization. Acting at the intersection of energy transition and digital infrastructure, you will help expand next-generation virtual power plant capabilities. This role is highly analytical and externally focused, requiring both market vision and execution discipline in a fast-evolving sector.

Accountabilities:

  • Identify, evaluate, and develop new strategic business opportunities in electric vehicle and battery storage markets, from early concept through execution
  • Build and manage a pipeline of “zero-to-one” initiatives focused on new partnerships and emerging energy use cases
  • Develop financial, market, and energy models to assess viability and structure complex partnership opportunities
  • Lead go-to-market evaluation efforts for new business concepts, ensuring alignment with market dynamics and company strategy
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders, including EV manufacturers, charging providers, and storage partners
  • Collaborate with internal teams to shape scalable business models for distributed energy resources and residential energy solutions
  • Contribute to strategic decision-making by delivering data-driven insights and market analysis
  • Support the design of innovative partnership structures that enable managed charging, V2G, and storage integration
  • Requirements:

    • 10+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, corporate strategy, or related fields
    • Strong background in electric vehicles, energy storage, utilities, or distributed energy resources ecosystems
    • Deep understanding of VPPs, demand response, EV charging infrastructure, and managed charging models (V1G and V2G)
    • Proven ability to identify and execute new business opportunities in emerging or complex markets
    • Experience working with or within EV, energy, or residential storage ecosystems
    • Strong financial modeling, market modeling, or energy systems analysis capabilities
    • Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience engaging senior external decision-makers
    • Strong strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution capabilities in ambiguous environments
    • Ability to translate technical energy concepts into clear business opportunities and partnership structures
