Director - Business Development (NY)
Job Description
What You'll Do:
- Sourcing and qualifying opportunities with Financial Institutions
- Expanding and developing opportunities with existing client relationships
- Identifying and qualifying all opportunities during the sales process
- Creating and executing the sales plan and process, including coordination of all necessary internal and external resources to best position CrossCountry Consulting to secure business
- Actively work existing relationships, networking contacts, professional affiliations, and industry groups
- Support leadership team in cross-selling additional services to existing clients where appropriate
- Work closely with marketing resources to develop effective, targeted go-to-market plans for the industry teams they support
Position Requirements:
- Extensive professional network in the New York Financial Services market, focused on the Finance & Accounting functions at large Financial Institutions
- 5+ years of demonstrated success in selling professional services, networking, and generating new business within the Financial Services industry
- 10+ years of experience in the accounting and/or consulting industry
- Demonstrated ability to identify and penetrate new accounts in addition to expanding current client accounts
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and work independently
- Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills
- Creative, self-confident, and flexible
- An entrepreneurial spirit
- Great sense of humor required!
Desired Qualifications:
- A consulting business development executive with a consistent and demonstrable track record of achieving annual revenue targets
- Demonstrable background of developing and closing significant new name clients in his/her career, with expertise in the banking and capital markets sector
