Director, Business Intelligence & Analytics

As the Director of Business Intelligence and Analytics, you will drive the strategic and day-to-day efforts to capture business intelligence and to provide meaningful analytics and actionable insights to support and progress Boomi’s business goals. 

This position will provide actionable insights and visibility to business trends, processing several different types of data. The focus of this work will be organized into daily, weekly, and monthly reporting deliverables, and often require additional deep to provide further insights. This role reports to the Head of FP&A & Strategic Finance.

What you'll do:

• Establish the strategic direction for building the business’s data management and governance program and optimizing how the business uses data both internally and externally
• Perform analyses on large sets of data to extract actionable insights that will drive decisions, with a focus on sales and marketing efforts
• Own the production of all existing reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis within Forcepoint
• Communicate data-driven insights and recommendations to label and management, through clear visualizations and presentations
• Play a highly collaborative role and oversee cross-functional data governance while simultaneously ensuring adoption and adherence to data quality and process governance departments
• Define, design, build, validate, deploy and support all business intelligence initiatives for the company
• Drive BI initiatives in partnership with IT focused on data preparations, data integration, data exploration, data warehousing and modelling techniques
• Develop policies and procedures for the collection and analysis of data
• Find trends and patterns within the data to help answer “What’s working, what’s not?”
• Manage internal and external data sources for information and enhance data integrity and quality to provide actionable analytical insights into core business decisions such as prioritization of growth opportunities
• Create new approaches to drive a repeatable set of Business Intelligence practices and to resolve a range of analytical and operational questions
• Experience building models for Annual Operating Planning: Bookings, Capacity, Quota, Compensation, Forecast, etc
• Solid understanding of CRM systems, quote to cash management infrastructures and analytics around sales pipeline modeling
• Define and socialize universal KPIs and dashboards to track performance and success of efforts linked to business outcomes

The experience you bring:

• 10+ years experience working in data & analytics, including data governance and data innovation across an organization
• 5+ years people management and organizational development experience
• High-growth SaaS / Software industry experience
• Experience guiding and crafting a story out of data; excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A direct background and current position with a heavy use of data analytics
• A keen interest in data visualization, high-level presentations and long-range planning/thinking
• Ability to develop and present effective executive-level communications

Bonus points if you have:

• Prior experience in private-equity or public SaaS companies
• Master's Degree in Business Administration or similar degree
