The Business Operations Director will help support a range of multi-disciplinary operating rhythms and transformation initiatives to help shape, implement, and manage the Product & Engineering operating plan that will deliver on PayPal’s strategy. The position requires a seasoned professional with significant relevant experience, a broad well-rounded set of skills, a high level of energy, flexibility, perpetual enthusiasm to learn new skills and take on new responsibilities, and a demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Job Description:

We are the central business operations team for the Product & Engineering Organization, working with the top Product Development executives and key leaders in the organization that ensures smooth ongoing business operations while look forward and enable the next wave of growth. We partner with Marketing, Sales and Risk teams to collaborate end-to-end on what is best for our customer as well as working very closely with corporate teams like Finance, Analytics and HR to optimize operations. This is a role with enormous diversity, complexity and is full of intellectual challenges. It will require superb mental agility with the scope for enormous value creation. The Fintech Industry is one of the highest growth, most competitive industries right now and PayPal has a strong position. Responsibilities

  • Execute Chief of Staff responsibilities for senior Product & Engineering Leaders
  • Manage Operating Plan and KPIs; establish, lead and optimize holistic cadence of business to manage to the plan and outcome delivery
  • Support the production of Operating Reviews to CEO and Executive Management team
  • Work with leaders to translate the business unit strategy into workforce implications within the financials; provide strategic thought leadership to advise and structure the workforce strategy, plan, and initiatives, identify key themes, develop mitigation plans, and make connections of opportunities across functional areas.
  • Create, manage, and maintain specific communications and cadence for All Hands meetings, Exec meetings, team meetings, ongoing communications
  • Create opportunities for synergies across the business on topics such as developing business models, organizational design and cross-functional initiatives to drive long term business results
  • Build productive relationships across the organization at all levels to drive influence
  • Utilize frameworks to help structure the team’s thinking, drive visibility, and facilitate alignment
  • Deliver written, presentation and verbal communication up to the senior executive level
  • Provide high-level support to executive staff in leadership meetings, operational review meetings, and reporting progress against goals and status of internal initiatives
  • Streamline/automate existing processes and recommend process improvements to improve the efficiency of the company
  • Develop, track and report key business metrics in partnership with finance and analytics
  • Partner and collaborate with cross-organizational functions such as Analytics, Data Science, Product, Finance, HR, and other Planning and Operations functions to help deliver on various objectives

Basic Qualifications

  • 12-15+ years experience in directly relevant roles in technology, strategic, business planning and analysis, project/program management, financial management and reporting. Direct relevant experience within a larger, leading/high growth technology company is highly preferred
  • MBA or MS required
