As the Director, Business Recruiting, you will guide and scale a team to find and hire elite candidates across a variety of non-technical roles within Sales, Business Development, Marketing, Operations and G&A. As a player-coach, you will be responsible for communicating the Checkr story and value proposition to executive level candidates, while ensuring your team is effectively sourcing and guiding candidates through our hiring process. You are driven, eager and able to develop lasting relationships with both candidates and hiring managers.Â
Responsibilities:
- Build and mentor the business recruiting team to meet hiring needs across multiple departments
- Mentor, guide, and grow the careers of all members of the Business Recruiting team
- Develop trusted relationships and act as a key business partner to Checkr leadership to improve recruiting processes across business units
- Working closely across recruiting and HR to create and scale processes and programs
- Collaborate with hiring managers and executives to understand hiring needs and define requirements
- Execute on Executive level searches
- Develop unique sourcing strategies to surface top passive candidates
- Create and maintain an amazing candidate experience
What you bring:
- 10+ years of in-house business recruiting experience (start up environment preferred)
- Experience managing and mentoring a team of recruiters
- Experience filling leadership roles and executive searches
- Comfortable partnering with senior leadership and management teams on hiring initiatives
- Strong sourcing ability and a diverse bag of tricks
- Passion for elite candidate experience
- Great written and verbal communication skills
- A sense of ownership and accountability
- Broad understanding of general HR requirements
- Comfort across different recruiting technology

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with Colorado law, the base salary for this role if filled within Colorado is $187,850-$221,000.Â
