Ag Processing Inc (AGP) is seeking a forward-thinking Director - Carbon Initiatives. This newly created position will lead the company's efforts to pursue sustainability related initiatives that create value for its stakeholders. In this role you will collaborate with a broad range of individuals and departments including executive level management who rely on your thought leadership to inform company decisions. Through the evaluation and implementation of tangible sustainability solutions, you will become a valued business partner throughout the organization focused on driving the business to its full potential.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a thorough understanding of climate policy and sustainability linked programs, particularly as they relate to carbon
  • Advise senior management team on impact and opportunities related to emerging sustainability trends
  • Influence companywide sustainability strategy and implement streamlined process for data collection and reporting
  • Identify and lead the pursuit of opportunities to create sustainable value for AGP and its stakeholders through the evaluation of current business practices and assessment of potential future needs

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • 10+ years of work experience; 1-3+ years of related work experience
  • Knowledge of the RFS, LCFS, and various carbon intensity scoring models including GREET/ICAO
  • Knowledge of carbon markets and the opportunities / challenges for carbon related projects such as carbon sequestration, renewable energy, carbon credits, etc.
  • Commercial acumen and business development experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex issues clearly and concisely in oral and written formats
  • Knowledge of commodities / agriculture a plus
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple activities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office product suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
