Director, Category Marketing

Job Description

The Director of Category Marketing will have responsibility for the strategy, execution and success of all product activation plans and campaigns. They will lead a team of category marketing managers focused on our core business- office supplies, along with our growing adjacencies, including cleaning & breakroom facility supplies, technology, print and furniture. This person will work closely with product management, sales leaders, ecommerce team and the brand marketing team to drive all product promotions and go to market strategies to increase penetration through each of our customer segments. Working alongside the rest of the marketing organization, this person will be responsible for building detailed campaigns including forecasted spend and metrics to demonstrate success and ROI.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Responsible for overall product activation and go-to market strategies
• Lead and develop category marketing managers day to day activities, goals and product strategies
• Responsible for the growth and penetration of direct assist customer segment
• Manages financial plan and able to forecast costs, reconcile and report out ROI on campaigns and activities

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in B2B Category management and growth or related field
• Basic computer skills and the ability to use computers and technology for information, and to access information necessary to complete the job
• Leadership experience
• Comfortability with matrix environment
• Financial management and reporting experience
