PMG is adding a Director, Client Development to our Client Development (new business) team. You will operate as a solutions-oriented partner for new business opportunities with a particular focus on creative-led new business. The team operates with consultative selling and builds relationships that lead to long-term business opportunities aligned with the PMG growth strategy.

General Description:

  • Own creative-led new business opportunities and other potential opportunities in collaboration with the Client Development team
  • Have a basic understanding of the narrative of how creative and media work together
  • Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of PMG’s services, capabilities, and differentiators, with a special focus on creative and strategic services.
  • Support PMG’s relationships and engagements with Agency Search Consultants and industry leaders.
  • Use a consultative selling approach across multiple touch points to open new opportunities and maintain relationships across the industry and potential new clients.
  • Keep a consistent pulse on industry trends and provide thought-leadership to partners and prospective partners.
  • Contribute to and manage RFP responses in partnership with the Client Development Team.
  • Cultivate client and industry relationships through sharing content, providing excellent written and verbal communication, always demonstrating reliability and relatability.
  • Collaborate, develop, and strategize account plans with members of other PMG teams and PMG leadership to pursue growth.
  • Act as the communication and strategy lead while accepting guidance from the head of client development and other key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with leadership, including, at times, the CEO, on the new business approach, storytelling and pitch delivery.
  • Provide timely and detailed updates to the Client Development team and broader stakeholders.

Skills & Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in a quota carrying sales role in the Advertising, Creative Services, Digital Marketing or AdTech industry
  • Healthy sense of urgency with the ability to think long-term
  • Must have a high level of accountability to yourself, the team, and the company
  • Team player who seeks to add value for the good of the team
  • Self-starter who is willing to roll up their sleeves
  • Act with integrity, selflessness and a commitment to doing the right thing
  • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills
  • Logical, organized, and ruthless at prioritizing
  • Understands the value of service and the ability to evaluate customer needs
  • Experience managing and maintaining customer relationships
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional internal departments to contribute to new business
  • Deal with pressure; remain optimistic and persistent, even under adversity
  • Understanding of creative services
  • Knowledge of CRM software packages and sales tools
  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of other post-secondary education
