We are looking for an experienced Director of Commercial Marketing to play a pivotal hands-on role in creating and executing a comprehensive communication strategy to support our revenue goals and lead generation and nurturing efforts. The ideal candidate should possess a wealth of expertise in integrated marketing communications, with a specific focus on digital marketing, preferably in the life science tools space.
This new hire will report to our SVP of Marketing and Product Management and will have the opportunity to work remotely and travel both domestically and internationally.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement a strategic communications plan aligned with revenue goals and marketing objectives.
- Identify key messaging and create a content and communication channel strategy based on the customer journey.
- Take a hands-on approach to execute programs and tactics that drive lead generation and nurturing efforts.
- Oversee the development, maintenance, and optimization of the Element Biosciences website.
- Utilize digital marketing techniques, such as SEO and analytics, to drive organic traffic.
- Plan and execute a diverse range of events, such as conferences, trade shows, webinars, and product launches.
- Strategize event promotion, design impactful booth experiences, and manage on-site tradeshow execution.
- Manage relationships with contractors, agencies, and freelancers involved in communications-related activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales and product management, to ensure cohesive and consistent communication across all touchpoints.
- Continuously evaluate and optimize the communication strategy based on campaign performance metrics, customer feedback, and market trends.
- Act as a brand ambassador and ensure consistent messaging and branding across all communications channels.
- Lead a team of Marketing professionals to drive KPIs, enhance employe engagement and foster talent and growth.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of integrated marketing communications experience.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful communications strategies to support revenue goals and lead generation in a start-up environment.
- Strong background in digital marketing, encompassing SEO, SEM, email marketing, and social media.
- Proficiency in website management, user experience optimization, and web analytics tools.
- Experience in planning and executing live and virtual event management, including strategy development, promotion, booth design, and tradeshow execution.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple projects and stakeholders, with exceptional organizational and project management skills.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, fostering effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Experience managing employees, contractors, agencies, and freelancers.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Familiarity with the life science tools industry and understanding of customer experience in a B2B context is highly desirable.

Base Compensation Pay Range:
- $160,000 - $208,000
In addition to base compensation, you will be eligible for stock options, discretionary annual bonus, no cost health insurance plans, 401k with company match, and flexible paid time off.
Please Note: Base compensation will depend on multiple factors, including geographic location, qualifications, and experience.
