Customer Success Communications @ Autodesk
The CS Communications Team is the central architect for CS-wide internal communications and employee engagement programs. The team partners with CS staff as Strategic Communications Business Partners and supports a variety of CS-wide programs. They act as brand ambassadors for Customer Success at Autodesk.
Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced professional to lead our CS Communications team. The right person will bring strategic thinking, communications expertise, and creativity to ensure our entire 1,400-person Customer Success organization understands how their work supports our broader customer success mission.
This role will be responsible for strategic communications on new initiatives and programs, as well as support the CS Leadership on employee initiatives. This role also plays a pivotal role in our external customer communications, supporting our Chief Customer Officer with executive communications.
This position reports directly to the Autodesk Chief Customer Officer.
Responsibilities
- Support development of executive communications for Autodesk's Chief Customer Officer, including external presentations, media and speaking engagements, and customer presentations
- Lead cross-CS strategic programs including talent development, recognition programs, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Manage a team of Communications Business Partners who support the different departments in CS, as well as contribute to cross-CS communications initiatives and programs.
- Develop and execute an annual CS communications calendar, including All Hands, updates on strategic initiatives, events, and other key milestones.
- Develop a communications strategy across a variety of distribution channels (e.g. email, newsletters, SharePoint, blog posts, wikis).
- Create communication guidelines and templates to ensure a consistent look and feel for CS communications.
- Work with communications staff in other functions to ensure CS messaging is appropriately represented by other teams and that we have aligned communications.
- Work with designers and editorial staff as appropriate to get projects done on time and with high quality.
Minimum Qualifications
- 15+ years relevant experience, including 10+ years management experience BA/BS MS Preferred
- Deep experience in both internal and external communications (all channels)
- Proven track record in leading and inspiring teams
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills; the ability to build relationships at multiple levels and to work cross-organizationally toward solutions
- Strong storyteller with the ability to create compelling narratives, in various formats
- Experience developing and executing communications strategies, plans, and programs
- Experience running strategic communications campaigns, from ideation through execution
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong influencing skills and ability to deliver results
- Demonstrated ability to grasp the technical aspects of the business
- Proven team leadership abilities including a creative and proactive approach to conflict resolution, problem-solving, mentoring, coaching, recognition, and performance management
- Able to adapt and change with changing priorities and business initiatives
- A highly motivated, results-oriented, self-starter with strong analytical skills

Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $167,300 and $270,600. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
