Director, Communications & Public Relations
Job Description
The Director, Communications & Public Relations (PR) is responsible for leading the global communications & PR strategy and team, to advance the company image and industry presence. Leveraging financial services technology sector experience and team leadership skills, the Director develops, optimizes, and implements PR strategy and communications programs to position Corcentric as a thought leader in the space, driving a concerted message plan to differentiate Corcentric in the marketplace.
Responsibilities
- Develops and executes global communications & PR strategy in support of business objectives, enhancing Corcentric's reputation, increase brand awareness, and deliver key messages.
- Leads, manages, and develops communication & PR team members
- Establishes and manages communications plan, budgets and KPI's to ensure results focus, accountability and effective use of resources.
- Works in partnership with marketing, sales, and product management teams to build a differentiated plan.
- Owns all day-to-day PR & communications activities, including press release creation, byline and content development, executive thought leadership, social media strategy, and media relations
- Writes and edits press materials (press releases, talking points, Q&A's, position papers) on current events, new solutions, customer results, acquisitions, strategies, and financial results
- Maintains Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in financial services & communications best practices to ensure accuracy and consistency of message
- Directs development of content and ensures placement, distribution and measurement of engagement against competitors.
- Develops compelling story ideas and narratives to enhance the understanding of our mission.
- Identifies proactive opportunities for Corcentric to participate in conversations relevant to its mission and goals.
- Works with the Corcentric leadership team to prepare for media interviews and speaking engagements, elevating their thought leadership and social media profiles.
- Maintains and builds relationships with press, partners, and influencers to drive positive awareness and coverage.
- Manages agency relationships.

Required
- Approximately 10+ years of B2B (business to business) marketing experience that demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of effective marketing communications strategy, preferably in the technology sector.
- Proven ability to work both proactively and reactively with media, establishing relationships as well as leveraging existing relationships to support incoming data-related requests as well as drive Corcentric's communications and positioning.
- Experience leading, managing, and motivating teams, with an exceptional willingness to be a hands-on manager.
- Ability to take complex information and communicate it clearly in simple and understandable language for target audiences.
- Solid creative, strategic, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Professional career experience that demonstrates stability, progressive responsibility, and willingness to accept new duties.
- Customer-focused mindset.
- Exceptional communication skills, including written, spoken, and presentation, with the ability to deliver a clear, concise message to a diverse audience.
- Excellent editing skills, with an eye for grammatical errors and able to provide high quality feedback to others' content.
- Solution-oriented, metrics-driven self-motivator with ability to set, track, and meet deadlines for multiple projects. Responsive to emerging opportunities, changing requirements, and shifting priorities in a dynamic environment.
- The ability to think globally and apply locally: interacting effectively and appropriately in a global environment with individuals of various cultures and organizational levels.
- Sets high standards for quality of work and demonstrates a continued desire to increase knowledge and improve performance.
- Bachelor's degree, with a major in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or comparable.
- Financial Technology industry experience
