WHAT YOU'LL DO
Braze is looking for an experienced Competitive Intelligence Director. The Competitive Intelligence Director will be responsible for developing and executing competitive strategies in a high impact, high visibility setting with measurable outcomes. This role will have strong cross-functional influence across various departments, including Sales, Marketing and Product.Â
Responsibilities:Â
- Conduct deep and ongoing competitive research and analysis of competitors' products and GTM strategy, with a focus on the delivery of accurate, timely, unbiased and contextual analysis as a subject matter expert.
- Provide actionable competitive intelligence, sales tools, training, and consultative engagement to serve the needs of the field (battlecards, whitepapers, presentations, etc.)
- Deliver timely competitive messaging in response to competitive product launches and announcements.
- Deliver deal support and competitive expertise to sales teams to craft winning sales strategies.
- Develop and execute competitive strategies to boost win rates against competition.
- Guide product positioning and messaging based on competitive differentiation and report out to executive leadership on metrics and outcomes to experiments
- Participate in annual planning and product/GTM strategy sessions
WHO YOU ARE
- 8+ years of marketing experience in a B2B business (preferably SaaS), or as a CRM expert at a B2C company
- Proven track record working collaboratively and across multiple teams and projects
- 8+years of competitive intelligence and market research, product marketing, or management consulting experience
- History of productive collaboration with product and sales
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Strong critical and analytical thinking skills
- Strong sense of ownership to drive key business metrics and company growth
- Ability to navigate and network and lead by influence across departments to build consensus around critical initiatives with a bias towards action
- Experience coordinating, directing, and guiding the work of teams within a high-growth SaaS organizationÂ
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mentality with experience working on complex, ambiguous projects across multiple teams. Creative approach to new ideas, experimentation with new initiatives that fuel growth
- Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams and developing and mentoring team members
For candidates based in the United States, the pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $140,000 and $168,000/year with an expected On Target Earnings (OTE) between $175,000 and $210,000/year (including bonus or commission). Your exact offer may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to cash compensation, Braze offers full- and part- time employees a comprehensive Total Rewards package that includes equity grants of restricted stock (RSUs) so that all Braze employees own a piece of our company.Â
