Director, Consulting Services

Are you a finance and accounting professional with an entrepreneurial spirit who can solve problems with CFOs? We are currently recruiting for someone who has the drive of a business owner but wants the experience and support of an established professional services firm to grow our practice.

CliftonLarsonAllen's (CLA) Consulting and Accounting Solutions Team (CAST) provides high level finance and accounting resources on an interim or project basis for public, private and nonprofit clients ranging from start-ups to Fortune 100 companies. As the Client Relationship Leader, you will drive new business with existing clients and prospects by cultivating relationships and generating leads through channels such as Big Four and regional Audit Partners, CFOs, Controllers, Internal Audit Directors and others.

The Client Relationship Leader will work closely with the Managing Principal and Client Service Team to expand new client opportunities in existing relationships as well as build their network to develop new relationships in the community.

Responsibilities include implementing sales strategy for new account prospects, preparing client presentations and proposals, attending and professionally representing CLA at local and regional networking events, meeting business development targets, and maintaining sales activity in Dynamics CRM. CRM sales activity includes ownership of opportunity pipeline and pre-established cadence of relationship meetings (target of 10 per week).

Other skills, abilities and attributes include strong business acumen with an ability to understand and communicate CLA's business and service offerings; the ability to recognize opportunities, problem solve and close business; the ability to effectively provide oversight for the ongoing engagements; and the ability to meet client needs timely while handling multiple priorities.

Ideal candidate will be a CPA, with a minimum 10 years of work experience; including Big Four Audit Manager as well as industry experience as a CFO, Controller, Internal Audit Manager or similar role. A successful candidate will have a strong client service pull, relationship building experience and be driven to participate in business development initiatives which genuinely make a difference for our clients, while growing practice revenue.

Compensation includes a solid base salary plus incentive and a rich benefit offering.

Requirements:

• A strong client services delivery orientation including the demonstrated ability to take an active role in executing engagements to client service standards.
• At least 10 years of relevant work experience, including 2 + years of experience in public accounting, or comparable consulting firm.
• CPA certification preferred
• Strong audit experience preferred
• Work related experience in any of the following areas is preferred: previous audit, compliance or internal controls.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills demonstrating the ability to gain the confidence and respect of senior executives and team members.
• Ability to travel within market is strongly preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
