What You'll Do
We are looking to hire a Consumer Insights Director based out of Munchkin's stunning Greater Los Angeles Headquarters office! This role will lead all research and have the ability to translate qualitative and quantitative data from a variety of sources into actionable insights that will fuel consumer concepts, inform brand positioning, influence new product development, shape strategic direction, and drive business growth. The right fit will thrive as an individual contributor in a fast paced, entrepreneurial organization. This role will help drive strategy for both Munchkin and Curio (Munchkin's new adult brand).
- Strong knowledge of market research principles and practices with demonstrated capabilities in both qualitative, quantitative, and secondary research
- Drive actionable recommendations grounded in consumer knowledge and informed by a broader understanding of the business
- Conduct custom research & analytics across multiple areas including, but not limited to, brand communication, innovation, customer segmentation, packaging etc.
- Convert learnings across multiple and disparate sources of information into persuasive and concise storytelling
- Lead the discovery and infusion of consumer insights required drive the evolution of the brand, business model, and go to market efforts
- Lead consumer understanding to identify unmet consumer needs, market whitespace, and growth opportunities
- Deliver strategic insights and recommendation for new products, new consumers, and/or new marketing positioning and communication
- Manage research vendor relationships, negotiating rates and deliverables
- Demonstrate excellent ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously with timely delivery of assigned tasks.

Bring It!
- Bachelors or Master's degree or equivalent, preferably from a Business School or in a quantitative subject - math, statistics, economics
- 7+ years' work experience, preferably in marketing, business analytics, or an area that works closely with Sales/Marketing
- Expert collaborator with experience working across multiple functions and levels of leadership
- Experience managing research agencies required - including recommendations of agency partners that you have used previously
- Experience handling complex business models
- Expert in excel, good working knowledge of Powerpoint
- Ability to build relationships with cross functional partners
- Strong data analysis skills and real attention to detail
- Excellent presentation and communication skills (must be able to articulate the insights)
- Ability to turn mass data into actionable insight
- Independent, self-starter
- FMCG or consumer-facing industry experience preferred

Munchkin's Hybrid Schedule is where an employee works in the office on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and remotely from home on Tuesday and Friday. Salary range: $ 150,000 -170,000 annually
