WHAT YOU'LL DO

As the Content Marketing Director, you will help define and drive our global content marketing strategy. You'll lead a team of content marketers and agencies who are responsible for delivering exceptionally crafted content that educates, inspires, and influences our target audiences at every point of the buying cycle. Working closely with Brand, Solutions and Product Marketing, and our Campaigns teams, your team will provide the fuel for the entire marketing machine, building awareness, driving demand, and inspiring our community through a spectrum of content formats and types.

Your day-to-day will require a variety of working models, including leading our in-house team; directing agencies, and freelancers; but also rolling up your sleeves to execute on deliverables yourself. This is a manager-doer role that demands strong creative thinking, flawless execution, bold innovation, operational excellence, and a strong spirit for partnership.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO QUICKBASE

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy and reliable editorial calendar that is built to deliver measurable business results for the company. Work across functions to map out the most efficient processes to activate the strategy.
  • Drive amplification of content through different marketing channels in collaboration with campaigns team, web experience, social media, influencer marketing, and marketing operations on content distribution.
  • Be responsible for creation, quality control and delivery across all content formats including but not limited to ebooks, white papers, podcast, videos and demos, blogs, customer stories, social media content, etc.
  • Working with the Creative Director, manage production of content with internal and external design resources., contribute feedback, and help identify process efficiencies.
  • Ensure all content is optimized for its intended channel. Partner with SEO team to improve keyword rankings and optimize content for search performance.
  • Own content performance metrics, monitoring engagement and analyzing data. Contribute to MBRs and QBRs. Proactively address concerns or new opportunities that arise in the data.
  • Develop and own the corporate style guide and company taxonomy while partnering with our Brand team to ensure brand guidelines are implemented across deliverables.
  • Cultivate talent on the content team, supporting individual development and career growth for each team member. Also identify talent gaps and underperformers; propose org changes, as needed, to address both.
  • Identify improvement in overall processes and partnerships and consistently drive implementation of changes and solutions.

You are the perfect mix of a creative content producer, data-driven marketer, and an operational powerhouse. You're a great simplifier, easily synthesizing complex technical ideas into simple ones. You're as accomplished with long-form written content as you are with video and audio formats. QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 10 years overall experience, a mix of B2B and B2C companies preferred, and a minimum 3 years of team management.
  • Passion for communication and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Writing samples are necessary- we know you've got amazing things to share.
  • Experience building or evolving a brand through effective storytelling and crafting an audience centric narrative while understanding the importance of unified and consistent messaging across all marketing and communications.
  • strong editorial skills, including copy editing, story shaping, and a passion for brevity and human speak.
  • You excel at people management and are deeply invested in the team's personal and professional development. You're kind and positive, but aren't afraid to deliver critical feedback and have tough conversations.
  • You're a storyteller with great presentation skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • You're self-sufficient with strong project management skills, familiarity with project management tools such as Jira.
