The Controller will have full oversight of the accounting function and expected to assist with the analytics & forecasting metrics. Reporting to the Vice President of Finance, the position will advise the CFO, CRO, VP of Engineering and other key business stakeholders on all matters as they relate to accounting and finance.
Other responsibilities will include contract renewals & implementations, equity plan management, and will build out and mentor the accounting team as the company continues on their growth path.
How You'll Make a Difference
- Assure accurate and timely recording of all transactions by implementing appropriate procedures, controls and checks across all appropriate roles throughout the company.
- Manage the accuracy of day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, payroll, fixed asset records, and Stripe billings.
- Develop, improve and issue timely monthly financial statements and management reporting including monthly financial "flash" reports, monthly financial reporting package, and monthly metrics/dashboard package for the Board and senior management.
- Oversee weekly and monthly sales reporting and commission calculation.
- Build and maintain budget models for financial planning purposes.
- Manage commercial banking relationships to facilitate appropriate returns on invested cash, and minimize bank fee expenses.
- Work closely with VP Finance to ensure that analyses of expenses, investments and special projects are timely, accurate and useful.
- Interface and manage relationships with outside auditor, tax experts and banks to ensure accurate transfer of information required by either statutory or contractual requirements.
- Manage a staff, currently 2 to perform all necessary accounting tasks in a professional and efficient manner.
- Support the Business Intelligence team and VP of Finance in performing their responsibilities.
Who You Are
- Have extensive Technical Accounting experience
- CPA preferred
- Have experience within a $50-100m technology company
- Are an Individual who excels in and enjoys a hands on role
- Have experience working with cross-functional lines within an organization
- Experience with contract software, AWS Preferred
- SaaS or technology industry experience
