Director, Corporate Development

Poshmark is looking for a Director of Corporate Development to lead our end to end M&A strategy, planning, diligence, and integration processes, and help us build the best corp dev team in Silicon Valley! 

This position will report to the Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development / General Counsel and help build the foundation of Poshmark’s M&A practice! 

Responsibilities:

• Develop strong knowledge of our competitive ecosystem and deliver insightful analyses of market opportunities to inform our M&A strategy
• Play a quarterback role across all elements of the deal process including acquisition rationale, valuation modeling, due diligence, deal negotiations, etc.
• Manage post-acquisition integration, including management and oversight of cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of M&A integration plans
• Build relationships with key players in the industry
• Build out Poshmark’s best practices and infrastructure to ensure smooth and effective processes 
• Build strong cross functional relationships across the organization to ensure success in both organic and inorganic growth
• Be an owner, and crush it! 

6-Month Accomplishments:

• Establishment of Poshmark’s Mergers and Acquisitions practice from a programmatic approach, including infrastructure build

12+ Month Accomplishments:

• Continuous build and refinement of our M&A and integration success, including infrastructure and ecosystem growth
  

Requirements:

• Strong academic credentials, bachelors required, MBA preferred
• 7-10 years experience in a mix of venture capital, consulting, investment banking, strategy or corporate development roles in the technology industry
• Experience building corporate development teams and processes
• Experience in marketplace models, consumer tech, or similar industry experience a plus
• Experience building both internal and external relationships to drive company growth
