Role Mission:

The Director, Corporate Development will support the CEO and the Executive Team and work cross-functionally to lead all corporate development activities across the organization to help drive the company’s growth. You will identify market opportunities, source, build, and manage potential strategic partnerships. To support these activities, you will develop industry-wide relationships to help identify new opportunities, stay up to date with the competitive landscape and inform our strategy.

LeagueApps is in a unique position for a corporate development leader to champion the company’s growth efforts. We recently completed our Series B funding and we have strong product market fit evidenced by high retention rates and NPS scores and a clear leadership position in the industry’s fastest growing and most influential segment. What You’ll Do:

  • Partner with senior executives, product leadership, and the finance team to identify industry trends, develop our inorganic growth strategies, and identify compelling opportunities that accelerate LeagueApps mission and strategic priorities. 
  • Conduct rigorous analysis to provide deep insight and judgment regarding companies and potential strategic partnerships. 
  • Establish and maintain relationships, by leading with LeagueApps values, with senior executives from startups, technology, and the investor community to inform opportunities.
  • Lead acquisitions end-to-end, including strategy development, sourcing, valuation, and financial assessment, due diligence, negotiation, execution, and integration activities.
  • Contribute to the integration process and create plans while ensuring LeagueApps  maintains appropriate rigor throughout the diligence process.
  • Contribute to the direction of Corporate Development at LeagueApps including processes, tools, best practices, and training.

Who You Are:

  • 8+ years experience in the internet, software, and/or tech industry in a corporate development, investment banking or management consulting role. 
  • Strong quantitative, analytical and valuation skills (DCF analysis, comps, etc).
  • Experience sourcing, negotiating and executing strategic partnerships and other transactions
  • Strong strategic thinker and passion for learning about new companies and technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering cross functionally to develop and execute innovative strategies with limited resources.
