Job Description
Achieve is seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable Director, Corporate Planning to join our rapidly scaling company as we continue our journey through a large scale digital transformation and growth strategy. In this position, you will report to our SVP, Finance. As Director, Corporate Planning, you will lead budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis processes. Your thought leadership and intellectual horsepower will drive value with a particular focus on leading the Company's annual planning and quarterly forecasting processes and strategic analysis. This is a hands-on leadership role with high visibility at every level of the organization. You will be responsible for leading the efforts to scale our FP&A processes as we grow and face increasing business complexity.

What you'll do:
- Drive financial discipline by designing and implementing planning and forecasting processes that drive alignment between investment dollars and the company's strategic objectives
- Lead the maintenance and enhancement of Achieve's corporate model, including short and long term forecasts for income statement, balance sheet and cash flow
- Help mold and support the company's value creation story through the preparation of materials that illuminate the company's financial results for the executive team, Board of Directors and investors
- Create transparency into financial results by working with business leaders and business unit FP&A teams to understand trends and drivers and provide insights into forecast versus actual variances
- Oversee the Cash Management team, with responsibility for efficient and effective daily cash movement and borrowing; strong internal controls over cash and bank account access; optimization of yield on cash balances; and establishing and monitoring cash and funding KPIs
- Serve as a critical member of deal teams for capital raises, as needed
- Drive the process for rationalizing corporate department investments (Headcount, OPEX spend, and CapEx)
- Lead the way for new processes to scale the business through continuous improvement, automation, and new tools
- Proactively drive forward ad hoc strategic and operational projects as required
- Effective at project management, organization, prioritization, and execution of impactful initiatives
- An independent, logical, and framework-based thinker with the ability to generate ideas and support them with analysis, data, and structured arguments
- A highly effective communicator/collaborator, with the ability to influence others as well as cultivate productive relationships

What you'll bring:
- 10+ years working in FP&A and/or highly strategic role; experience at a fast-moving and scaling technology, fintech, or financial services business a strong plus
- Extremely strong analytical, financial modeling, and presentation skills and experience with preparing and presenting information to decision makers
- Excellent attention to detail
- Demonstrated experience thinking strategically about complex business problems, uncovering data-driven insights and creating actionable recommendations
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, or Google Docs/Sheets/Slides
- Effective cross-functional communication in solving problems and addressing roadblocks
- Passion for coaching and mentoring others
- Bachelor degree in Finance, Economics, or equivalent knowledge (FP&A, investment analyst, CFA); MBA from a top school a plus
