Checkr is looking for a proven leader that has successfully built, coached, and led teams to the successful evaluation, development, integration, or implementation of corporate systems to support Finance, People and Legal business functions. This includes the development, design, and optimization of information technology and systems functions supporting company business processes and technical information systems platforms.

The Director, Corporate Systems is a technical and business leader that can demonstrate an ability to build relationships with the different business units across the organization and will thoroughly understand the business needs and opportunities required to achieve business goals in alignment with the corporate goals and priorities.

This key leadership role is within our Corporate Engineering organization and will report to the Head of Business Applications. In addition, this role will partner very closely with Checkr’s Finance, People, and Legal business teams to enable their success through technology.

In this role, you will:

  • Partner with Checkr’s Finance and G&A business teams to define capability and systems roadmap for a scalable application platform
  • Demonstrate strong experience building teams capable of developing detailed requirements for the implementation of new corporate systems
  • Ability to lead teams in the development and execution of plans to build, integrate or implement systems solutions to meet business needs as defined in the requirements of the business units
  • Ensure that all projects follow existing or evolving infrastructure architecture standards, maximize systems and operational efficiencies, protect data, and support platform compatibility
  • Define processes related to the evaluation and selection process of third-party systems/applications including the development and writing of RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs as well as the evaluation process through demonstrations, POCs, pilots, and/or cook-outs
  • Coordinate delivery of services to user groups and ensure IT service is uninterrupted.
  • Manages the development, deployment, and execution of controls and defenses to ensure the security and risk mitigation of company infrastructure technology, and information systems

What you bring:

  • Proven experience leading Corporate business systems teams (Finance, People, Legal)
  • Deep experience in implementing Finance and G&A applications, such as Oracle Cloud ERP, Zip, Coupa, Workday, Greenhouse, CultureAmp platforms, etc.
  • Experience identifying, baselining, and tracking KPIs
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced, dynamic and high growth environment
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in engineering, management or related studies

We use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop ranges for our roles and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range. If this role is remote, we have listed the top to the bottom of the possible range, but we will specify the target range for an exact location when you are selected for a recruiting discussion. The salary range for this role is $143,098 to $297,850.
