Job Description
As Creative Director, you have the opportunity to build, plan and implement SmartRent’s creative and brand strategy in the next phase of our growth. As a critical member of the marketing leadership team you will report to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and have the scope of brand positioning, brand strategy, brand architecture, creative and campaign development, brand management and traditional media.
Responsibilities
- Present fresh, innovative work that translates complex ideas into compelling print materials and digital experiences for sophisticated audiences
- Work alongside CMO to determine SmartRent’s brand architecture to serve customer needs appealing to the broadest addressable audience
- Work alongside CMO to reset the brand strategy and positioning, driving consistency in creative and messaging across all channels
- Own the company’s annual brand marketing plan and budget
- Lead agency relationships, both creative and traditional media; partner with VP of Digital to optimize digital paid media
- Create and measure brand health and report results on a regular basis
- Improve brand consideration and purchase likelihood
- Collaborate with legal and partnership marketing to elevate our brand to broader engaged audiences
- Conduct competitive analysis and protect our brand integrity
- Manage internal graphic design team - develop KPIs and SLAs ensuring satisfaction for internal constituents including marketing team members
- Partner with the product UI/UX team on delivering an optimal brand experience through our product delivery
- Ensure digital asset management tool is accurate, represents brand consistency and optimized for use
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, Advertising, Communications, or related field
- 10+ years of marketing experience
- A keen eye for compelling design
- Familiarity with a variety of software programs including Photoshop, InDesign and Adobe
- Responsible for the quality and completion of work from the design team
- Understanding of UI/UX and digital design best practices
- Team player, willing to work collaboratively/cross functionally
- Experience building and managing a creative team
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
