Director, Creative Services

C3 AI seeks an experienced and talented Director, Creative Services, to work in our Redwood City, CA office. This role reports to the Chief Marketing Officer and will manage the C3 AI creative team to deliver a diverse set of projects, including corporate marketing materials, presentations, web-based assets, events-related creative, and branding.

The successful candidate must possess significant graphics design skills and must contribute as a designer and producer of creative services projects in addition to managing and growing the team.

Responsibilities:

• A decade or more of experience leading design teams with a large portfolio of significant design accomplishments.
• Experience scaling creative teams and developing workflow processes for efficient production of creative deliverables.
• A demonstrable understanding of design concepts, including layout, composition, typography, color, and a thorough knowledge of preparing clean, print-ready mechanical files. Professional web and email design and development experience is required.
• Proven experience using Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.) and presentation software, PowerPoint, and Keynote.
• A thorough understanding of website and mobile design, including basic usability, industry standards, navigation, and most importantly customer experience.
• Outstanding attention to detail and the ability to verify the accurate and thorough completion of projects.
• Ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects with short timelines, ensuring that team deliverables are completed on time, on budget, and at the highest quality level.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a design-related discipline is required: Interaction, Graphic, or Interface Design.
• 8+ years of professional design experience working on complex design projects for market-leading design firms or corporations.
• Ability to deliver compelling stories - written and verbal - in front of audiences of all sizes.
• Must have expert technical knowledge with the latest versions of PowerPoint (PC and Mac) and Keynote, including creating slide masters, designing for various output media (projector, monitors, and print-outs), object animations/transitions, embedding video, etc.
• Expert level proficiency with Adobe applications: Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Ability to translate complicated concepts into clear and compelling visual narratives (infographics, animation, icons, charts, data visualization).
• Ability to format content and typography at a professional level.
• Knowledge of processes to implement brand guidelines and manage consistency across all marketing assets.
• Video editing and web development skills are a plus.
