As the the Director, Credentialing and Onboarding is a crucial role responsible for ensuring that healthcare professionals, such as nurses: RN, LPN, CNA, STNA, and other staff, meet the necessary qualifications and adhere to the regulatory requirements within healthcare. As an integral member of the organization, this role is highly collaborative and provides the subject matter expertise to effectively meet the current and future business needs.

Will participate in all interactions with the leader of Clinical Operations, such as joint commission certifications, compliance audits and assessment and driving continuous improvements.

 

What You’ll Do:

This integral role will have direct accountability and oversight of the onboarding team including the credentialing function, bringing key subject matter expertise to provide strategic and tactical guidance across multiple functions for the U.S. business.


Credentialing, Onboarding

· With expertise in healthcare regulatory compliance and credentialing will provide strategic, tactical and education to the teams accountable to ensure effective and timely credentialing process for healthcare providers to meet and exceed IntelyCare clients’ needs and expectations.

· Directly leads and manages the onboarding team driving highest level of productivity, efficiency, and accuracy to meet the required business needs.

· Provides guidance and knowledge cross-functionally to teams to ensure that all staff are aware of current requirements, current trends and future potential regulations.

· Will provide subject matter expertise and guidance to ensure all healthcare professionals meet the organization's standards and comply with applicable regulatory bodies.

· May provide educational sessions to keep team and stakeholders informed and apprised of changes in the regulations or processes.

Compliance:

· Develop, implement, and educate the organization to maintain US wide compliance programs and policies to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local healthcare regulations.

· Monitor changes in healthcare laws and regulations and update organizational policies and procedures accordingly.

· Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments to identify and address potential issues.

 

Business Development

· Serve as SME for credentialing, regulatory, and compliance needs when evaluating new business opportunities in collaboration with the Leader of Clinical Operations and Chief Clinical Officer.

· Create and implement plans through others to ensure readiness and speed to market for new or improved processes.

 

Record Management:

· Provide oversight and direct management of teams to ensure accurate and up-to-date records of all healthcare provider credentials, certifications, licenses, and compliance-related documentation.

Communication & Reporting:

· Prepare and deliver regular reports for onboarding and credentialing status to the leadership team, regulatory agencies, and accreditation bodies as appropriate.

· Collaborate with various cross- functional departments to ensure that compliance and credentialing processes are seamless and efficient.

Quality Improvement:

· Identify areas for improvement in compliance and credentialing processes and work towards enhancing overall quality and efficiency through education and mentoring to team leaders.

· Co-draft and support process improvements and actionable solutions to mitigate risks.

Professional Development:

· Stay informed about best practices and industry trends related to licensure and compliance in healthcare.

· Attend relevant seminars and conferences to remain current in the field. Transfer knowledge and educate teams accordingly.

 

What We’re Looking For:

· Experience / Knowledge: Minimum 10+ years’ experience including the management and oversight of teams and direct credentialing and compliance experience in healthcare. Expert knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations, such as HIPAA, and other relevant standards. Knowledge of healthcare accreditation standards (e.g., Joint Commission, NCQA) is required.

· Certification: Preferred certification in healthcare compliance, such as Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC), or credentialing, such as Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM).

· Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail is essential to ensure that the organization effectively meets all required all healthcare providers' qualifications and compliance requirements are accurately documented and maintained.

· Communication Skills: Effective communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for working with healthcare providers, staff, and regulatory agencies as well as providing leadership updates and educational sessions.

· Analytical Skills: Demonstrated ability to analyze complex regulations and data is important for ensuring compliance and continuous improvement in credentialing and compliance processes.

· Self-starterwith keen ability to follow-through and drive results

· Customer-service focus with an ability to resolve a variety of sensitive and often complex situations.

· Continuous improvement orientation with an ability to identify gaps and recommend solutions to create improved results and to drive team performance.
