PrizePicks is looking for a Director of Consumer Insights to help the business build a customer-centric strategy and drive analysis about the PrizePicks user base ultimately results in improved decision-making and user-base understanding across the organization. This person will own the vision for defining PrizePicks’ target audience, understanding them, and tracking the brand’s ability to meaningfully connect with them.

The Director of Consumer Insights will help the team uncover consumer insights and translate them into opportunities across the entire marketing funnel & product, enabling PrizePicks to be one of the most innovative, meaningful and customer-focused brands & products in the industry. This role will be tasked to define, build, and champion scalable and nimble market research solutions, tools, and processes, while also fielding high-priority research requests as needed. This person will use data to make key strategic business recommendations that drive value for customers and guide stakeholder decisions. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with ambiguity, have strong attention to detail, and be motivated by a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.

What you’ll do:

  • Set & execute on the consumer learning & brand awareness agenda for each quarter, including strategy, testing, and key initiatives.
  • Plan, design, and conduct various consumer research & brand awareness studies to inform strategic decisions.
  • Synthesize both qualitative and quantitative data sources to paint a comprehensive picture of the customer & brand.
  • Establish and maintain consistent approaches to consumer & brand research across all elements of brand, marketing and product.
  • Deeply understand customer profiles and represent the customer throughout the organization, collaborating with marketing, product, and customer service to improve brand love and retention.
  • Conduct research in behavioral psychology and combine that deep understanding of the customer with broader demographic data sets to influence acquisition and retention strategy.
  • Collaborate with marketing leadership to develop channel strategies to ensure the right message, right customer, right time.
  • Collaborate with product leadership to develop new products & features that will resonate with our existing customers and new customer segments.
  • Grow a team of researchers and analysts to deliver consumer insights to the entire organization.

What you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Marketing, Insights, Analytics or Social Science field.
  • 7+ years of experience in market research, consumer insights, business intelligence or an equivalent role.
  • Strong quantitative capability and knowledge of research systems, tools and processes.
  • Familiarity with technical skills like SQL, Scripting (Python, R), Data Wrangling (Excel) & Data Visualization (Tableau).
  • Demonstrate strong follow-through and ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
  • Advanced ability to draw insights from analysis supported by data and clearly communicate them to the stakeholders and senior management as required.
  • Knowledge of the sports/gaming industry is preferable.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and learn quickly.

Where you’ll live:

  • Candidates local to the Atlanta, GA area are preferred, but remote candidates will be considered, and if hired will need to travel to Atlanta roughly twice per quarter.
