Job Summary:

Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, Advanced Safety & User Experience (AS&UX), the Customer Marketing Director will be responsible for developing and executing a customer led marketing strategy focused on North America customers of the AS&UX business unit, in partnership with other customer facing teams, including regional leadership, Sales and Engineering teams. S/he will develop a deep understanding of who the customer decision makers and their needs, and use this to tailor value propositions for Aptiv's products into compelling integrated solutions. S/he will lead the packaging of these solutions for the customer including branding, creating sales tools, digital collateral, training programs, and events. Working collaboratively with the Global Marketing Centers of Excellence where appropriate, s/he will develop and execute campaigns to reach target customers early and often with Account Based Marketing, industry and customer specific events, thought leadership, digital tools and elearning programs.

Your Role:
  • Develop and execute forward looking, integrated customer marketing plans, partnering with customer facing teams
  • Identify upcoming pursuits / opportunities (RFI & RFQ) and critical stakeholders to build and refine strategic campaigns, leveraging product marketing content
  • Drive a repeatable and scalable Account Based Marketing approach within the region by developing creative, compelling, customizable digital campaigns (direct email and social), and collaborating with customer facing teams to tailor messaging, content, presentation materials and targeted events to customers
  • Use a data driven approach to continuously improve marketing efforts; Determine how to best communicate and use data from campaigns to help customer facing teams win more business
  • Coordinate with marketing centers of excellence to execute the plan, including:
    • Digital team to plan and launch email campaigns and build / maintain dedicated customer webpages
    • Events team to develop and execute tech events, plant tours and critical meetings
    • Social media team to create and launch targeted social campaigns and congratulate on successes
    • Public Relations to promote Aptiv wins/customer program launches we are part of
    • Customer Experience to flag opportunities for future Episode NPS
  • Partner with customer account teams (commercial & technical) on customer strategy, competitive dynamics and priorities
  • Partner with regional commercial teams to influence, compete for and win new business
  • Work across regions and organizations to leverage / reuse existing product marketing content


Your Background:
  • 15+ years experience. Demonstrated track record in developing and executing customer led product marketing strategies.
  • Demonstrated complex stakeholder management track record. Able to address, influence and work with multiple constituencies
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and other Office tools. Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator or other Adobe tools an advantage
  • Proven ability to understand complex solutions and communicate them in an accessible way
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high intellect, collaborative global environment with high performance expectations and ownership of results.

  • Experience building, retaining, developing and mentoring a high performing cross cultural team of professionals globally
  • Experience in Automotive industry preferred
  • BS/BA degree, with strong academic performance; Engineering degree and MBA preferred
