Opportunity
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic-minded Healthcare Data Quality and Governance leader to drive our organization's data governance initiatives. As a Manager, Data Quality and Governance you will be responsible for establishing and implementing comprehensive governance strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the quality, integrity, security, and privacy of healthcare data.  Responsibilities
This role is a hands-on individual contributor position responsible for implementing and overseeing an enterprise-wide data governance program across various functions within the organization
- Â Work closely with the Information Security, DevOps, Legal, and Privacy teams to establish data governance policies, procedures, and standards.
- Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to establish standards and Policies for Clinical and Claims Datasets.
- Lead the governance of clinical, claims and business data standards and establish processes to build enterprise business glossary and data dictionaries.
- Develop and implement healthcare data governance frameworks and strategies to ensure data quality, integrity, security, and privacy.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define data governance goals, objectives, and key performance indicators.
- Establish data governance framework, policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with industry regulations, including HIPAA, HITECH, GDPR and other healthcare privacy laws.
- Identify data governance gaps, risks, and opportunities through data assessments and audits.
- Develop and enforce data stewardship roles and responsibilities, promoting data ownership and accountability.
- Implement data quality management processes, including data profiling, cleansing, and standardization, to maintain data accuracy and consistency.
- Drive the development and implementation of data classification and metadata management frameworks.
- Implement data governance tools and technologies, such as data cataloging and data stewardship platforms.
- Provide guidance on regulations and educate teams on data governance principles, policies, compliance requirements, and best practices.
- Monitor and report on data governance metrics, trends, and issues to senior management.
- Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and regulations in healthcare data governance.
- Develop and implement data quality assurance strategies and processes for healthcare data.
- Collaborate with data stewards and subject matter experts to define data quality requirements and standards.
- Design and execute data quality checks and audits to identify data anomalies, inconsistencies, and errors.
- Provide necessary guidance and training and support to end-users on data quality management processes and tools.
Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging trends, and regulatory requirements related to healthcare data quality. - Collaborate with compliance and privacy teams to ensure data quality, security and delivery practices align with regulatory requirements, including HIPAA and other privacy laws.
- Ensure controls are in place over applications to ensure the data integrity by performing data integrity gap analysis.
- Build processes, work across organizational boundaries and exercise appropriate influence to ensure commitment to customers and product quality.
  Qualifications
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in healthcare informatics, Health Information Management, Data Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in healthcare data governance, and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in metadata management with progressive leadership responsibilities.
- Experience in implementing data governance and compliance programs in complex Healthcare organizations.
- Proficiency in data quality tools and technologies, such as data profiling tools, data quality assessment frameworks, and data governance tools like Collibra and Alation.
- Familiarity with data quality management principles and practices.
- Proficiency in data governance tools and technologies, such as, metadata management, and data stewardship platforms.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare data privacy and security regulations, including HIPAA, HITECH
- Excellent understanding of data quality management, data cataloging, metadata management, data classification, and data lineage.
- Excellent understanding of risk management and mitigation strategies in the context of data governance and compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex data governance and compliance issues.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Relevant certifications in data governance, compliance, or related areas are preferred.
Compensation and Benefits Â
The compensation range for this position is $170,000-$180,000 annually.Â
