The Role
As the Data Platform Chapter Leader responsible for Person MDM Development and platform modernization, you blend deep knowledge of data engineering, data platforms and business expertise with a passion for coaching, mentoring and developing associates. You are deeply committed to improving the value delivered to our customers.
In an agile structure you will collaborate with other leaders to establish the standards for your chapter, set the strategic direction, and build solutions across our common data services. You will directly manage teams of chapter members who primarily work within squads across product areas, but report directly to you. You are dedicated to helping them grow and develop in their knowledge area and ensure alignment on the "how" of the work they perform. You are committed to developing your own expertise and knowledge to bring the latest thinking to your role to empower others with that knowledge. In addition, you:

The Expertise and Skill You Bring
- Bachelor's degree required in Computer Science / similar technical subject area
- 10+ years of work experience in large-scale, sophisticated systems development initiatives focused on Data, Recordkeeping, Analytics, and similar areas with hands-on, managerial experience
- Experience leading, coaching, and developing full stack engineers
- Experience identifying and acquiring strategic talent needs, strategic resource planning, and talent allocation
- Experience in large data/recordkeeping environment using Mainframe or Oracle solutions
- Prior experience successfully leading Technology Lifecycle Management (TLM) required
- Hands on experience with Workplace Investing operations and data is a huge plus.
- Working knowledge of Cloud Data platforms or experience with Azure and cloud capabilities a plus
- Experience working in Financial Services Industry preferred
- Critical thinking and the ability to work in an agile environment
- Strong experience in navigating organization structure
- Strong experience in removing team's blocker
- Strong problem resolution skills required
- Stakeholder management skills

- Lead development teams of full stack and data engineers, (including hiring, performance assessments) and coach the team to their full potential
- Define roadmap in conjunction with Squad Leaders and communicate to stakeholders
- You will help champion and drive development standards to improve quality, efficiency, and consistency
- Work with scrum masters and squad leaders to plan releases and coordinate development activities
- Ability to collaborate with technology and business partners across Fidelity to provide strategic input into the long-term direction and roadmaps
- Ability to learn quickly, be flexible, adapt and strive to excel in a fast paced, changing environment
- Ability to be highly organized, very responsive, and committed to quality and high standards

Fidelity's working model blends the best of working offsite with maximizing time together in person to meet associate and business needs. Currently, most hybrid roles require associates to work onsite all business days of one assigned week per four-week period (beginning in September 2024, the requirement will be two full assigned weeks).
