The Director-Data Privacy will be part of the Global Data Privacy and Protection team and provide privacy support and subject matter expertise on privacy, data protection, and data governance issues as they relate to the evaluation of business initiatives, processes, and applications within Equifax. The position will help plan, develop, and implement corporate privacy initiatives, partnering with Security, Technology, Legal, and other stakeholders. This position will manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables.

What you'll do :

  • Work closely with stakeholders to identify gaps in privacy implementation across regions and business units
  • Maintain visibility into corporate privacy issues, including US and international privacy laws and regulations and their impacts on Equifax's business
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for corporate data privacy consultations and exceptions
  • Adapt privacy controls for the Equifax business practices, identifying control owners and establishing processes to monitor and test control effectiveness
  • Research and respond to privacy-related questionnaires and requests for onsite audits

What Experience you need :

  • Two (2) years minimum of data privacy, data protection, or data governance experience, preferably in the financial services industry
  • Strong project management and coordination skills with proven ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and manage multiple projects
  • Demonstrated leadership and partnering skills, plus excellent verbal and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical partners, with focus on informing, influencing and relationship building
  • In-depth understanding of privacy policies, principles, and technologies; as well as familiarity with privacy control frameworks
