About the Role:
Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, the Director, Data Services leads a team of talented professionals in designing best-in-class visualizations, partnering with internal and external stakeholders to understand their needs, and evangelizing insight-driven reporting and decision-making capabilities. The role oversees Identity Digital's overall business intelligence and data services functions which includes curation of data, management of big data, data warehouse architecture, data accuracy, reporting and overall data governance.
We are seeking an exceptional professional with a well-rounded software development background and proficiencies in ETL processes, analytics, data visualization, data warehouse operations and financial data management. This position reports directly into the CIO of Identity digital.
This is a remote opportunity in Canada or the United States.
What You Will Be Doing:

• Oversee the design and development of systems used to manage data including data warehouse, data stores and other business intelligence systems.
• Maintain and monitor data systems to ensure they meet organization and regulatory requirements.
• Create functional strategies and specific objectives for the function to support organization wide priorities and goals.
• Develop budget, policies and procedures to support the functional infrastructure.
• Provide leadership to the Data Warehouse and Business intelligence functions, holding teams accountable to established goals and objectives.
• Develop data strategies that lead to optimal business decision making and improved revenue per unit.
• Cultivate both internal and external data sources that improve pricing optimization capabilities

What You Bring:
The successful candidate will be a well-rounded data warehouse and business intelligence leader with demonstrated experience in SQL query performance tuning, data warehouse design, data modeling and visualization and Python programming language.
Specific skills and competencies you bring include:

• 8-10 years of experience in data management, business intelligence, data strategy, metadata management, data governance, and/or analytics
• Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams in a matrixed, decentralized remote/hybrid environment across many time zones. You have shown you can effectively drive consensus across teams and functions and can clearly articulate data strategy, vision, and business value. You champion accountability and demonstrate the value of data across a wide range of individuals (engineers, data scientists, analysis, service owners, executives, customers, auditors, etc.).
• Strong data management skills including driving strategy, scoping, technical metadata and lineage capture, business metadata documentation architecture, governance, tooling, and enablement.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and demonstrated success leading by influence; skilled at building business cases for investments to improve data management.
• Familiarity with data management platforms including but not limited to Big Query, and Tableau.
• Expert level skills in SQL, ETL, API integrations, Postgres and data modeling.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal skills with ability to educate, inform, influence, and achieve understanding and consensus on metadata and data quality needs across different functions, levels and customers.
• Demonstrated agility, and comfort in forward-thinking, proactive and often ambiguous environments.
