Join our team as our Director, DBS & Specialty Projects within the North America Commercial Leadership team. In this role you will be responsible to partner with the NACO leadership team to set the long-range strategic commercial initiatives required to architect above-market growth, build new organizational capabilities, and determine the cadence by which each initiative is started and completed, considering the organizational capacity for change.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Partner with the North America commercial leadership team to establish and achieve key business strategies & objectives.
- Utilizing a variety of DBS tools (Kaizen, VPM, PSP, Daily Mgm't.), direct the processes (Strat Plan, Policy Deployment, Presidents Kaizen, etc) of translating the commercial long-range strategic plans into the necessary tactical actions required to achieve key strategies.
- Direct the monthly regional reporting process through utilizing DBS tools such as bowlers for monthly KPI tracking, Action Plan's for monthly deliverable tracking, and PSP forms (Problem Solving Process) for the development & tracking of countermeasures.
Execute the Chief of Staff role for the North America commercial leadership team.
- Direct the creation of the bi-monthly (every other month) Strategic Commercial Review for the purpose of updating Beckman Coulter's executive leadership team on progress against the annual objectives and priorities.
- Direct the North America leadership team's annual associate objective setting and cascading processes to ensure associate objectives support regional strategic initiatives.
- Establish the monthly commercial leadership operating agenda to ensure we're providing adequate focus on the top regional business objectives.
- Direct the annual North America leadership calendar process by collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure we've allocated the appropriate organizational time & focus required to achieve business objectives.
Build DBS muscle within the North America organization to support achieving organizational priorities and associate development.
- Work with North American regional sales and commercial operations teams to install and drive good daily management (DM) and problem-solving processes (PSP) to find root cause and countermeasure for driving/delivering growth plans.
- Support sales management to deploy, improve, and sustain sales standard work for the management of sales funnels, account plans, weekly sales pod calls, customer business reviews, etc.
- Schedule, charter, and facilitate kaizen projects. Ensure effective sustainment of results and support problem solving as needed to close gaps to targets.
- Directly provide formal and informal DBS training through pursuing certification in DBS tools for yourself and directing/coaching associates to do the same.
- Through benchmarking other Danaher operating companies, identify and incorporate best practices best practices to be incorporated into North America commercial organization.
Lead the North America Incentive Compensation team.
- Lead the North America Incentive Compensation team, partnering with the sales leadership and Sr. Manager Incentive Compensation to align on overall IC Strategy, drive the annual quota setting, Incentive compensation plan design and rollout processes.
- Set up and drive daily management with the IC team to ensure accurate and timely IC payouts and administration.
The essential requirements and skills of the job include:
- BS or BA Degree in Business or Engineering discipline. MBA preferred.
- At least 15 years of professional experience with 5+ in commercial roles with demonstrated success in process/performance improvement.
- Hands-on experience implementing improvements within a commercial organization.
- Expertise/understanding of sales and/or marketing function with the ability to find the right balance between process rigor and creativity.
- Ability to analyze commercial capability gaps, identify root causes, and apply the appropriate growth tools to countermeasure.
- Ability to accurately assess key business metrics and situations from a "general manager's" point of view; effective at structured problem solving and critical thinking.
- Ability to work cross-functionally to implement key growth initiatives.
- Demonstrated proficiency in time management and action plan execution.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: - Experience with DBS fundamentals, including Daily Management, Standard Work, PSP, and Kaizen events.
- Experience leading people and large projects.

The salary range for this role is $150,000-$200,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
