Job Description
The Deal Desk team will help drive revenue growth and profitability for the business; improve ease of doing business for our clients and prospects; and assure compliance with both internal policies and procurement rules and regulations.
The Director, Deal Desk Market Strategy will lead processes discounting and support in negotiations with our largest customers. This person will collaborate with team members across Amplify to provide project/process management, data support, and budget tracking as well as provide market data for competitor pricing from sources including driven procurement and adoptions.
The role will report to the VP, Deal Desk and work closely with key partners across the organization, including sales, product, finance, and legal. Join the Deal Desk team to develop a business serving some of the largest and most influential school districts in the country as well as states and education-focused foundations!
Responsibilities of the Director, Deal Desk Strategy:
- Track competitor pricing and advise understanding of market pricing and configuration across customer teams.
- Process routine discount approvals in Sales Force, ensuring compliance with contractual and statutory obligations.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Product teams to track promotions and establish the approach for Sales Force entry.
- Collaborate with Sales Representatives to identify the optimal path to acceptable pricing, including use of promotions, discounting options, and pilots.
- Collaborate with Field Marketing and Sales Representatives to build pricing documentation for individual opportunities and broader territories.
- Monitor and communicate discount budgets to customers.
- Provide support to VP Deal Desk in negotiation of strategic/large opportunities, including but not limited to coordinating margin analysis with Finance and generating customer-facing proposal documents that communicate product and pricing value.
Basic Qualifications of the Director, Deal Desk Strategy:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 7+ years experience on a sales, marketing, and/or operations team
- Experience driving results with a cross-functional team within timeline
- Experience analyzing financial data, reporting and clearly communicating relevant information to team members
- Proficiency with Google Suite and Microsoft Excel
Preferred Qualifications of the Director, Deal Desk Strategy:
- Knowledgeable about the K-12 education field
- Sales Force experience
