How will you make an impact in this role?

Global Commercial Services (GCS) is the leading payments provider for businesses and corporations of all sizes, with small business being the largest customer segment and a continued area of investment and focus. The Small Business Marketing Team is responsible for acquisition and customer engagement marketing for all Small Business Charge, Proprietary Lending and co-brand cards.

The Partner Marketing team is passionate about creating and driving strategies to engage and convert small business customers through our co-brand partnerships.

The Director, Delta Co-Brand Marketing will be the primary Marketing leader for the Delta small business credit card portfolio and is responsible for the holistic marketing strategy across American Express proprietary and partner channels.

They will also be responsible for leading and collaborating with internal and external partners including Delta, Product, Analytics, Risk, Consumer Partner Marketing, and Strategic Partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner to develop a holistic marketing strategy across American Express proprietary and Delta channels.
  • Develop a comprehensive upgrade and cross-sell strategy to drive incremental growth and spend among existing Delta small business card members.
  • Successfully integrate product and program changes into a marketing strategy, to fuel acquisition, drive growth, and prevent attrition.
  • Expand overall targeting and targeting strategies to drive acquisition.
  • Develop a clear and compelling customer marketing strategy that communicates the value proposition distinctly within a multi-product portfolio.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the airline industry to enable successful growth, including operations, marketing channels, and economic fundamentals.
  • Play lead role in supporting partner renewal/expansion opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Finance, and other partners to identify and execute opportunities to improve Return on Investment (ROI).
  • Lead and develop a team of 10.

Some travel needed - up to 25% - exact cadence of Partner interactions to be determined.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience across Marketing, Product, Strategy, Partnerships, or a function with transferrable skills.
  • Excellent relationship management skills, with the ability to manage a critical enterprise partner.
  • Outstanding People Leader who can empower and coach a team to succeed, and invest in talent across the team, specifically in career and development.
  • Consistent track record of successfully working cross-functionally.
  • Ability to both collaborate and lead autonomously in order to manage a portfolio with large operational complexity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Outstanding influencing and partner management skills, with extensive experience managing both internal and external relationships.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to continuously evaluate Return on Investment and optimize a strategy to deliver the plan/drive profitable incremental growth.
  • Experience developing marketing strategies, across both acquisition and loyalty/retention.
  • Performance Marketing experience preferred.

Qualifications

Salary Range: $130,000.00 to $205,000.00 annually + bonus + equity (if applicable) + benefits
