Job Description

As our Director of Demand Gen you will develop, build, measure, and iterate on marketing campaigns, nurture programs, and lead qualification practices focused on driving growth. This will involve a combination of data analysis, creativity, strategic planning, technical proficiency and tight execution, working in close collaboration with the sales and marketing teams.  

This is a fast-paced player/coach role requiring quick pivots between high-level strategic thinking and tactical execution with an eye on outcomes. The Director of Demand Gen will drive strategy across the buyer’s journey and including events. KPIs are conversion to MQL, pipeline creation, closed-won bookings, and ROI.  

  • Full lifecycle optimization: Oversee the full lifecycle of marketing from pre-opportunity to close and post-sales to achieve company ARR objectives. Drive an efficient funnel and continuous improvement of lead management through lead scoring, BDR performance, standard operating procedures, etc.
  • Lead multichannel, data-driven marketing: Lead team to drive pipeline and ultimately new revenue through comprehensive marketing campaigns and nurture programs. Create accurate pipeline forecasts. Tactics include email, webinars, paid media, telemarketing, events, tradeshows, and direct mail.
  • Effective lead qualification: Coach BDR team to qualify leads appropriately and ensure predictable, high-quality hand-off to sales reps. Manage efficient BDR workflows.
  • Relationship and co-marketing management: Develop relationships with key influencers and those we can partner with for advertising, thought leadership webinars, tradeshow presentations, and content development.  
  • Account-based marketing: Strategy and execution for high-touch marketing to top tier accounts in close partnership with sales leadership.
  • Budget management: Create the marketing campaigns budget, track and analyze spend, and ensure compliance. Consistently optimize the ROI effectiveness.
  • People development: Recruit, lead, and develop a high-performing marketing team focused on accelerating demand generation to drive continued growth.  

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE 

  • Customer obsessed, data-driven and technology adept. You know the buyer’s journey like the back of your hand and can guide buyers from problem to purchase.  
  • You speak pipeline and bookings and you’ve led a broad base of successful marketing initiatives, including events and cold calling, in a fast-paced environment with a lean team.
  • Deep experience with managing automated campaigns through Pardot (or similar), SFDC and Outreach.
  • Experience in up-skilling and managing a team, including BDR or similar function, and collaborating effectively across functions
  • A compelling storyteller able to communicate complex value propositions in a crisp and simple way.
  • Ability to prioritize, project manage and efficiently communicate marketing goals and results to diverse audiences, including your direct team, executive leadership, and the company as a whole.
