Responsibilities: 

The Director of DevSecOps will lead the effort of managing cloud infrastructure - including its monitoring and support, and security of Xealth’s SAAS platform on AWS. This role will be responsible for the following functional teams: 

• Infrastructure and Devops. This is a team of highly competent infrastructure engineers managing the cloud infrastructure. They are responsible for the design, test, implementation and troubleshooting of AWS infrastructure. They practice Infrastructure As Code and are highly skilled in automation.
• Information Security. This team is responsible for the security of the platform to ensure its highest level of security compliance, as well as cybersecurity policies, protocols, and procedures, and the framework, architecture and tools for threat monitoring. The team is also responsible for the day to day triage and analysis of security events, and will take the lead on coordinating major security incident responses. In addition, this team reviews all new product features to ensure they meet security and healthcare data compliance standards such as HIPAA and SOC2. Last, but not least, this team leads Xealth’s annual SOC2 audit. 

The role will also work with the operations team that uses monitoring and alerting tools to proactively detect and troubleshoot platform issues, and serve as the first line of response to customers. 

There is a high level of synergy between these teams and opportunities to build a suite of streamlined tools and processes to support Xealth’s mission. The Director of DevSecOps, working with the office of the CTO, as well as the product and software development teams, is expected to demonstrate leadership to initiate and effectively execute programs to achieve the highest level of operational excellence for Xealth.

Competencies:

• 15+ years of experience in software development, operations and security positions operating a scalable cloud based software service.
• Detailed working knowledge of AWS, with recent or past hands-on experience configuring and maintaining cloud-based solutions running on AWS. This role requires intimate knowledge of the Xealth AWS cloud infrastructure which the candidate must feel comfortable diving into, well beyond the policy level.
• Knowledgeable about cyber security best practices and tools, both tactical and strategic capabilities, including Network Security, Platform Security, Data Security, Vulnerability Management, IAM, Detection, and Incident Response. Strong security background, especially in the fields of IT infrastructure security, application security, or cloud security is a plus.
• Experiences operating in an environment with legal compliance requirements, such as  HIPAA, HITRUST, and SOC2. 
• Problem-solving skills in a software engineering environment, with proven ability to work under pressure. 
• Have worked in modern agile software development teams with experiences designing and implementing software development automation solutions such as continuous delivery, software deployment, and software quality tests.
• Effective communicator with proven track record of leadership
• Data driven decision maker with the ability to operate with freedom and autonomy
• Experience working with distributed teams and other cross-functional stakeholders
• Highly collaborative in a high performance team environment
• Previous startup experience is a plus
• Previous working experience with Kubernetes or EKS is a plus
• Cybersecurity certification such CISSP is a plus

Xealth offers a multi-tiered approach when constructing a highly competitive compensation package. The compensation package would include a base salary, equity, and a comprehensive suite of benefits.
