The AES Corporation is looking for a Digital Business Relationship Director ("BRD") to partner with functional areas across AES Clean Energy seeking to shape demand for capabilities and solutions forming Digital's business-aligned capability roadmaps. The BRD is a senior-level strategic business partner, who shares ownership for Digital Transformation with the functional area of the business and acts as an internal business consultant by recommending strategic projects that support business strategy and deliver value. The BRD leads a group of Business Relationship Managers that provide technical expertise regarding project design, architecture, implementation; and, support. AES Clean Energy is going through significant transformation and requires a trusted partner to select the right technology solutions to digitally transform the business and bringing the capabilities required to achieve the company goals.
This position must work with Global Leaders, outside of AES Clean Energy, in developing the strategy for digital transformation, define new capabilities required to transform the business, focus on data and how it is generated and ultimately enabling differentiators that create a competitive advantage. This means that the person selected will work closely with Business Leaders and Digital Teams to strengthen collaboration and drive a culture of creativity, innovation, and shared ownership across the business and digital teams so that integrated, innovative, and value-driven strategies are created and deliver their intended business value results.
The main tasks/responsibilities will include:
- Work with Senior Leaders and Global teams to develop the Digital Transformation strategy to support delivering and operating projects at scale.
- Drive business performance through partnerships with business leaders enabling technology needs and requirements which provide capabilities which positively impact business performance and outcomes.
- Lead as the strategic interface between the Digital Business Relationship Management's function and Senior Leaders to stimulate and initiate business initiatives and ensure that the potential business value from those initiatives and capabilities is captured, realized, and optimized.
- Lead the program managers and system integrators in the implementation of initiatives driving digital transformation.
- Provide team leadership and coaching. Manage annual and interim evaluations for both performance and development needs.
- Partner with enterprise architects to develop technology enablement business capability roadmaps.
- Report on business value results of technology related projects; measure and communicate business value results on a regular basis.
Position Requirements:
- BSc - Business or Technology related field
- 15 years of professional experience in Information Technology
- 5 years of experience in project management activities
- Strong collaboration, teamwork, and relationship building skills across multiple levels and functions in the organization
- Project Management skills in technical or business areas for a particular function or process. Strong time management, organizational and prioritization skills.
- Knowledge of the latest market trends (Big Data, AI/ML, Cloud, Mobile, Analytics)
- Experience in working in large cross boarder projects

The expected salary for this position, at commencement of employment, is between $165.000 and $199.750/Annual; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements such as annual bonus, in addition to a full range of medical, dental, vision, life, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if a candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
