About the Role & Team

Our team creates world-class immersive digital experiences for the Company's premier vacation brands including Disney's Parks & Resorts worldwide, Disney Cruise Line, Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, and Disney Vacation Club. We are responsible for the end-to-end digital and physical Guest experience for all technology & digital-led initiatives across the Attractions & Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Resorts & Transportation and Merchandise lines of business as well as other initiatives including MyDisneyExperience and Hey, Disney!
Reporting to the VP, Technology & Digital for Disney Signature Experiences, and as an integral member of the Technology and Digital leadership team, this role is responsible for the Disney Cruise Line Digital Guest Experience. This includes the DCL.com website and Disney Cruise Line Mobile Navigator App.
What You Will Do
As the Director, Digital Experience, you will lead Product Strategy for the Disney Cruise Line's digital properties. You will lead a talented team of Product Managers and Analysts responsible for the end-to-end digital experience - from shopping and consideration, to onboard, to post visit. You will partner closely with business executives to define product strategies and with in-house and external engineering teams to deliver solutions that benefit our Guest, Cast/Crew and Business ambitions.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Strategy - define a comprehensive web and app strategy that achieves business objectives, while aligning with core platforms and capabilities.
  • Digital Performance - incorporate SEO, A/B testing, and digital analytics to optimize traffic and improve booking conversion.
  • Commercial Focus - partner with DCL Commercial teams to support promotional campaigns, itinerary launches, and lead generation campaigns.
  • Financial Accountability - manage a robust capital and expense portfolio for your digital products. Conduct annual and long term planning to sustain and grow the digital portfolio.
  • Product Leadership - define digital product strategies that address key market opportunities, enhance the Disney experience, and capitalize on industry innovation.
  • Product Delivery - deliver product experiences that consider jobs-to-be-done and key north star metrics, while aligning to a broader set of outcome based roadmaps.
  • Innovation - incorporate industry benchmarking, research & development, and external perspectives into an innovation agenda for Disney Cruise Line.
  • Team Leadership - hire, lead, and develop a team of product management professionals. Lead with an inclusive mindset and establish a culture of trust, transparency, and collaboration.


Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum of 12 years combined relevant business and digital experience with 5+ years in a management position.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Leader with the ability to empower teams to produce quality results within challenging timeframes and ongoing change.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated experience presenting to senior executive audiences.
  • Previous experience developing digital experience solutions in the cruise industry.
  • Previous experience with products that converge across both digital and physical.
  • Education
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required. Graduate degree preferred.
