Director Digital Manufacturing

Note: Will consider remote with travel as needed to Hershey, PA and various locations throughout the U.S.
The Hershey Company is looking for a dynamic and innovative leader for a newly created Director of Digital Manufacturing role within our Information Technology Department. The Director of Digital Manufacturing role reports to the Senior Director of Corporate Systems. This role will partner with our Operations Technology and Manufacturing leadership team to drive digital manufacturing capabilities at Hershey. This is an exciting opportunity to help lead Hershey's digital transformation journey.
Summary of major duties:
Major duties/responsibilities:
-Partner with Operations Technology and Manufacturing leadership to align on strategic information technology priorities, delivering and managing on an IT 3 - 5-year strategic roadmap for Digital Manufacturing.
-Developing and nurturing business partner relationships, linkage to business strategies. Jointly defining business objectives and goals, developing business cases, evaluating current technologies, communicating new technology capabilities, and identify process improvement opportunities.
-Lead large Global Enterprise-wide Digital Manufacturing initiatives focused on Manufacturing Automation and Digitalization across Hershey's entire Network. This initiative will be across Hershey's current and future networks.
-Identify, negotiate, contract, and manage external vendor partners, ensuring value is delivered to the organization as an augmentation of internal capabilities.
-Overseeing the assessment of the technical and business fitness of the application portfolio and their associated costs and risks.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Business Administration
Master's degree in computer science or Business Administration preferred.
Experience:
-Experience with Digital Manufacturing including Manufacturing Execution Systems, Advanced Data & Analytics, Solution Integration with machine level automation and robotics, manufacturing system capabilities such as quality, predictive maintenance, and scheduling.
-Expertise in the following Manufacturing capabilities such as SAP, MES (i.e. Parsec/TrakSYS), OSI Pi, Connected Worker, Manufacturing Training Platforms, and Advanced Analytics
-Strong manufacturing knowledge across manufacturing operations, and manufacturing automation
-Managing a team of at least 5 members in application development, implementation or management.
-15 years of experience in Digital Manufacturing project delivery
-10 years of demonstrated leadership experience building cross-organizational consensus with exposure to technology providers and/or business clients.
10 years of demonstrated experience managing a high-performing, cohesive team.
-10 years of demonstrated experience in liaising with middle and senior management in a Global organization for a mid-tier multinational organization.

-Strong communication skills with a proven ability to understand key concepts and communicate effectively with technical staff, business stakeholders and senior management.
-Proven ability to communicate technical concepts to nontechnical people to enhance understanding and drive to decisions that lead to positive outcomes.
-Proven ability to collaborate, build relationships and influence individuals at all levels in a matrix-management environment (as well as external vendors and service providers) to ensure that segregation and overlapping roles are identified and coordinated.
-Strong organizational skills, the ability to perform under pressure and management of multiple priorities with competing demands for resources.
-Strong analytical, data processing and problem-solving skills
Knowledge
-Manufacturing digital strategy and execution applicable to applications, costs, and risks
-IT contracts and their likely cost implications
-Engagement with procurement and legal contract advisors for additional information
-IT applications, operations, service and support organizations
-Data processing, analysis, and quality management tools
-Development and implementation of processes and policies
