Director, Digital Technology

The Director, Digital Technology is a seasoned IT professional with advanced proficiency in cloud technologies, software architecture, and IT transformation. They will develop a modern enterprise technology vision, strategy, and roadmap. The Director, Digital Technology will lead all digital technology architecture including cloud, data, AI, Epic, security, and compliance. They work closely with software and cloud architects and must collaborate with other leaders in infrastructure, cyber security, applications, and analytics. The Director, Digital Technology will mentor and coach other leaders including architects, software developers, database administrators, cybersecurity specialists, and technical managers. They will grow and cultivate their team into other leaders and respected members of Cook Children's IS department. They must have exemplary communication skills and are able to effectively communicate with business and technical stakeholders across the most senior levels of the organization. They must partner with their product management peers to create a DevSecOps oriented organization focused on delivering agile products and programs. They must work alongside and occasionally integrate legacy technologies and find ways to mature and transform into modern solutions. The Director, Digital Technology will be responsible for resource allocation, general management, hiring, and budget forecasting/management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in computer science, information systems or related discipline required.
• 10+ years' experience in software architecture/development is required.
• 6+ years' experience of prior management role or duties is required.
• 3+ experience of development and knowledge of C#.NET is required.
• 3+ years' experience in Azure is required.
• 3+ years' experience in an agile environment is required.
• Proven track record as technology leader with cloud technologies at a large and complex organization.
• Experience of software architecture in a Microsoft environment is required.
• Master's degree in computer science or related technical field preferred.
• Experience of working in healthcare preferred.
• Experience in a digital transformation leadership role is preferred.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification:

• Microsoft Azure certification is required.
• AWS certification is preferred.
• Agile or DevOps certification is preferred.
• Epic experience with familiarity of FHIR and other Epic integration options is preferred.
