Job DescriptionÂDrives the strategic plan for diversity, equity and inclusion that connects talent practices, culture and company objectives and integrates at all levels of the company. Steer and consult with client organizations and serves as proactive subject matter adviser to key business leaders helping them to translate business objectives into people strategies that drive results. Acts as the primary DEI point of contact to address opportunities with emphasis on enhancing practices that allow the company to attract, develop, reward, and retain top talent. Oversees implementation of company-wide DEI programs for areas supported. Lead a staff of HR DEI professionals. Partners with peers and other HR professionals to integrate DEI into talent processes and programs.
Responsibilities:
- Understands the goals and objectives of their assigned business unit's plan and develops and implements necessary people strategies to support these business plans. Includes development and execution of workforce plans and talent strategy.
- Consults with EVP and SVP/VPs on challenges pertaining to identification, development, assessment and management of their critical talent.
- Lead the development of an insights-driven, innovative long- and short term strategic plan for diversity and inclusion that is connected to talent practices, culture and company objectives across the company. Advises senior leaders across the enterprise on the development and execution of Diversity and Inclusiveness strategies to support workforce planning initiatives and create inclusive, high performing work environments.
- Consults and supports on major change management and organization redesign efforts.
- Collaborates with HR colleagues and leaders to design and implement solutions to solve strategic business challenges as well as drive inclusive behaviors.
- Leads and manages a team to support business needs and strategic initiatives.
- Fosters collaborative and engaging relationships with internal and external stakeholders to provide effective leadership in the coordination of all diversity and inclusion related programs and initiatives. Stewards employee resource groups that promote the enhancement of an organizational culture that embraces the D&I strategy.
- Partner with senior leadership to analyze diversity and inclusion metrics to determine countermeasures to address negative trends related to the attraction, motivation, development, and retention of employees. Develops recommendations for enhancing ongoing diversity and inclusion practices.
- Partners with other areas such as HR Business Risk to monitor policies and programs regarding diversity and equal employment opportunity (EEO), to ensure corporate-wide awareness, EEO compliance, and the successful integration of diversity concepts and culture. Maintains knowledge of relevant federal, state, and municipal employment laws and regulations, including Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action and American’s with Disabilities Act (EEO/AA and ADA).
Minimum Qualifications
At a minimum, here’s what we need from you:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field of study
- 8+ years HR business partner, consultant, talent management, diversity or organizational development, or related experience
- In lieu of degree, 15+ years HR business partner, consultant, talent management, diversity or organizational development experience
Preferred Qualifications
If we had our say, we’d also look for:
- Master’s degree in Human Resources
- 12+years HR business partner, consultant, talent management, diversity or organizational development or related experience
- 4+ years people management experience
- PHR, SHRM or SPHR certification
